    Introduction

    Thank you Mr., Miss. / Mrs..………………………for awarding me this opportunity to


    interview you. My name is Nombeko Gumbo a Revenue Trainee with the Zimbabwe
    Revenue Authority. As part my traineeship I am doing a Research project on the topic ‘An
    assessment of the impact of the VAT system on reveue generation.A case study of
    Bulawayo Port. I assure you that the information you provide will be treated with strict
    confidentiality and will not be used for any other purpose outside this research.

    Interview Questions for Victoria Falls Town Council

    1. How many informal Traders are registered with the Council? To include Hair Salon,

    Cottage industry operators, Restaurants and Bottle Stores.

    2. How many taxi cabs are registered with the Council?

    3. How many Driving Schools are registered with the Council?

    Interview Questions for ZIMRA Victoria Falls

    1. How many Clients are registered for Presumptive Tax in Victoria Falls?

    2. How many of the clients are complying with the system?

    3. Are those authorised to withhold and remit informal traders tax in Victoria Falls living up

    to their expectations?
