Methodology for Box Type Water Proofing:-

A. For Raft:-
a. The Lower PCC bed should be clean free from dirt, loose particles, dust etc

b. Cement sand Mortar 1:4 ratios with water proofing agent will be mixed and laid on PCC bed at maximum
thickness of 50mm.

c. Before setting of mortar, Shahabad stone slab of 25mm average thickness shall be placed on mortar.

d. Joint and the gaps will be filled by cement sand slurry of 1:1 ratio in addition with water proofing (BASF
FLOWCABLE 50), if joint size above 25mm then gap is filled with washed 20mm aggregate.

e. Water proofing should be added as 250ml for 50kg cement.

f. Entire surface of stone should be covered with 3 coats of cement Slurry 1:1 ratio in addition with water
proofing.

g. After 3 days further work for raft should be started.

B. For Wall:-
a. The Lower bed should be cleaned and make free from dirt, loose particles, dust etc

b. The wall should be hacked before laying cement sand morter.

c. Cement Slurry 1:1 ratio will be mixed and used for fixing of stone.

d. Maximum height of wall 1200mm and 25mm thick Shahabad stone used for masonry.

e. Filling of voids by cement slurry with water proofing (BASF FLOWCABLE 50).

f. A Grout of Cement slurry 1:2 ratio with water proofing additive is then slowly applied on the cracks on the
top.

g. The grout should be free- flow-able.

h. After completing the grout layer, similar operation to be followed for further height of wall.

i. Then the surface should be cured for minimum of 7 days.
