2. What does a meeting code of practice cover, and why do organisations have them?
Describe 2 organisational policies or procedures relevant to organising meetings.

The meeting code of practice should be cover the detail of meeting procedure for a
particular organization such as frequency of meeting, attendance requirements and
standard of behavior which written and develop by professional in organization to their
member to help them comply the ethical standards.

Policies and procedures relevant to organizing meeting such as

- Email policy: Using the organisation’s computer resources to seek out, access or
send any material of an offensive, obscene or defamatory nature is prohibited and
may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.

- Occupational health and safety (WHS): No employee is to commence work, or return


to work while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. A breach of this policy is
grounds for disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
