Scanreco Transmitter/Receiver Setup Selecting Machine Type You need to configure your transmitter for the type of machine itis to be used with. Supplied are 4 configura- tion decals + 3 section boom + 4 section boom + 5 section boom + 4 section telescopic boom ‘Select the proper decal for your machine and apply it to the front face of the radio remote. ‘Section Boom $-Section Boom “Section Boom Install daca here Figure 1 Configuration Decals Service Instructions When the radio remote is powered on forthe fist time 2 machine configuration menu will appear on the LCD screen. Browse the 4 configurations available by press- ing the green button (Figure 2), ‘When the correct configuration is displayed, simultane- ously press and hold the yellow (LCD Light) and black (POWER) buttons until the screen changes. Resetting Machine Type To change the machine type from a previous configu- ration 1. Press the black POWER button on the radio re- mote. (Figure 2). 2. Quickly press the black POWER button 10 times, the display changes to self-test mode. 3. In self-test mode, simultaneously press and hold the green and yellow buttons until the radio re- ‘mote shuts down (approximately 10 seconds.) 4. Press the black POWER button, when the radio remote starts up, the machine type configuration ‘menu will appear on the LCD screen, Service Instructions Pairing the Transmitter and Receiver Pairing refers to the programming of an individual iden- tification code (ID code). This is necessary for the wire- less communication between a particular transmitter and a particular receiver. Danger caused by malfunction: [WARWING! TPe system may ony be programmes by specially-rained experts. 1. Sat the VECTOR control system to “Local” oper- ating mode. 2. Switch off transmitter (remove rechargeable bat- tery. 3. Connect transmitter and receiver with the control ‘cable (Figure 3) contol Cable 4. Unlock the EMERGENCY STOP button on the transmitter. 5. Pross the black POWER button (Figure 2) on the transmitter within 45 seconds and hold for 10 sec- Conds until the buzzer in the transmitter sounds. 7. The display of the VECTOR control system shows the notification R 13 M “Pairing in progress!” 8. Release the black POWER bution and wait until the buzzer produces 5 beeps in quick succession and the transmiter is switched off automatically 9. Switch on the transmitter again by pressing the black POWER button (Figure 2). ‘The following notification appears on the display of the VECTOR control system: R 14 M “Pairing completed successfully!” 10. The basic display appears in the LCD of the transmitter after 30 seconds. This concludes the successful pairing of the transmitter and receiver. Remove the control cable and insert the rechargeable battery into the transmitter. Set the VECTOR control system to "Remote" operating mode. After the transmission, switch off the transmitter ‘and switch it on again. Ifthe basic display appears in the display of the trans- mitter after 30 seconds, the successful pairing of the transmitter and receiver is concluded Remove the control cable and insert the rechargeable battery into the transmitter. The system is now ready for radio operation. Every operator must read and understand the manual prior to operating the remote system. Failure to comply with the manual may cause severe damage to person and property, and will void the product warranty of the remote system. ‘Specifically, we would lke to draw your attention to the following: > During operation of a Schwing concrete pump with the Scanreco remote system, the operator must always be able to see the full machine and working area. > Atno time should the operator put the operationally-ready transmitter down while iti still ‘active. They must be in control of the remote during all operations. ‘Any time the transmitter is not in the operator's hands, the boom switch must be retumed to the center (disabled) position and the red STOP button must be pressed. In the case of malfunction(s), immediately press the red STOP button, discontinue use of the remote system and report the problem to the Schwing service team. > Repairs of the remote system must only be carried out by professionals authorised by ‘Schwing and Scanreco. > Any attempt to repair the remote system without the prior approval from Schwing will void all product warranties. > When cleaning the transmitter, use a damp cloth to clean the system only from the outside. Dry with damp cloth, > Never open the housing for cleaning of the transmitter! y o ATTENTION!
