For countersunk holes, the countersink diam-
‘ter is followed by a multiplication sign (x)
and the countersink angle.
The depth of the hole following the hole di-
ameter includes the depth of the countersink,
followed by a "V" (symbol for a cone at the
bottom ofthe hole). The cone angle is however,
not defined (Fig, 108/1),
Where there are certain tolerances for hole
diameter and hole depth, these can be added
directly following the stated dimensions. The
hole depth is followed by a “U” (symbol for a
fat bottomed hole) (Fig. 108/2).
243.3.2 Cylindrical recesses (ISO 15786)
For cylindrical recesses of holes, the first
number is the recess diameter, the sec-
‘ond the recess depth followed by “U" (sym-
bol for a cylindrical recess with a flat bot-
tom), The hole diameter is given separately
ig. 1083),
For conical countersinks, the first number is
the countersink diameter, the second the coun
tersink angle. The hole diameter is given sepa
rately Fig. 108/4).
