While we were incredibly excited to host this year’s National Summit on the Vanderbilt University campus,
in an abundance of caution, the Blair School of Music decided to cancel all events for the summer of 2021.

But as the old saying goes - when one door closes, another one opens! We are now thrilled to host the
National Summit at the legendary Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center - a destination in and of
itself.

Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center

The resort is home to nine acres of indoor gardens, restaurants, marketplaces, and the SoundWaves water park.
Our shows and activities will be staged in their beautiful convention spaces, which will also give us significantly
more space to social distance and to uphold necessary safety measures.

Booking Your Stay at our Host Hotels

While our event activities can no longer take place at Vanderbilt University, we are still obligated to uphold
our group’s room block contracts with both the Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt University and The Holiday
Inn Vanderbilt University. Please move forward with booking your stay at one of the host hotels and
understand that all National Miss Amazing guests still must stay at one of the host hotels in order for Miss
Amazing to fulfill its contracts. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Transportation to the Convention Center

Miss Amazing is pleased to offer shuttle bus transportation between our host hotels and the Gaylord
Opryland Convention Center throughout the entirety of the event. Access to the shuttle bus will be provided
for Miss Amazing representatives free of charge. If guests of the representatives wish to use the shuttle bus,
we ask that you pay a $35 flat fee for unlimited access throughout the entirety of the event.

If you wish to drive from your hotel to the convention center, please expect to pay roughly $20 each way in
ride-share services (like Uber or Lyft). If you are driving your own car, self-parking is $22 per day.

Submit Paperwork
Follow the steps below to submit and manage paperwork through the MyMissAmazing system.

Log into MyMissAmazing

Step 1. Go to missamazing.org and click “Login” in the upper-right corner.

Step 2. If you already have an account, enter your login credentials. If you do not, create a new account.

Create a New National Application

If you had an EXISTING ACCOUNT

Step 1. Find the “National Application” heading under “Your Applications”.

Step 2. If you wish to pull in answers from a previous Miss Amazing application, select the application in the
dropdown. If you want to start the application from scratch, click “Go”.

Step 3. Upload your photo and proof of disability. These files will NOT be pulled from your previously-submitted
application.

Step 4. Complete each form and press “Submit”. Note that the “Passion Presentation” and “Augmentative and
Alternative Communication (AAC)” forms can be left blank and filled out a later date if needed.

If you created a NEW ACCOUNT

Step 1. Email Dawn at dawn.kost@missamazing.org alerting her that you have created a new account and
providing her with the name that you created the account under. She will make the national application available
to you.

Step 2. Once Dawn has granted you access, find the “National Application” heading under “Your Applications”.

Step 3. Click “Go”.

Step 4. Complete each form and press “Submit”. Note that the “Passion Presentation” and “Augmentative and
Alternative Communication (AAC)” forms can be left blank and filled out a later date if needed.

Manage Paperwork
You can log into your MyMissAmazing account at missamazing.org/signin at any time to view the information
that we have on file for you, to submit outstanding forms, and to access National Miss Amazing resources.

Once you submit a form, it cannot be changed. To make changes to your forms, contact Dawn at dawn.kost@
missamazing.org.

Event Fees, Tickets, and Extras

REG I S T RAT IO N FEE
Miss Amazing Representatives are asked to pay a $100 flat fee for participation in the National Miss Amazing
Summit, which includes addmission to all shows and activities and unlimited access to the shuttle bus.

E V E NT TICKE T S
Admission to Passion Presentation and Intro Shows, the Festival, and Closing Ceremonies is $15 per person,
per event for family members and guests. Guests can also purchase one of the ticket bundles available for a
discounted price per ticket.

B US PAS S E S
Miss Amazing Representatives are granted free access to the shuttle bus. Friends and family members are asked
to pay $35 per person for unlimited access.

Show recordings and event photos are provided by our team of professional videographers and photographers.

Designing Your Shout Out: You can design your Shout Out yourself or you can have Miss Amazing design the
Shout Out for you. If you’d like to use a computer to design your Shout Out, we suggest using the free design
tools provided at Canva.com. You can also mail your Shout Out design to 1109 Parc Dr. Papillion, NE 68046. If
you want Miss Amazing to design your Shout Out, specify your options when submitting your order through the
Order Form.

Using Your Sponsor a Queen Funds

Using funds BEFORE the event

You can apply your Sponsor a Queen (SAQ) funds to the following expenses before the event. Please read each
item for instructions on how to do so.

Registration Fees, Show Tickets, Festival Tickets, Bus Tickets, Shout Out Orders, and Media Orders: Go to the
NMA Order Form and make your selections. When asked if you want your SAQ funds to cover the order, choose
“Yes” and submit the order.

Hotel Nights: On July 21st, the National Miss Amazing staff will communicate with the host hotels and apply
your remaining Sponsor a Queen funds, if any, to the cost of your hotel room(s). At checkout, this amount will be
deducted from your final bill.

Using funds AT the event

If you still have unused Sponsor a Queen funds when you arrive at National Miss Amazing, you can use them
to purchase Miss Amazing merchandise or show tickets. Simply bring the printed copy of your order summary
(provided to you at registration) to the Miss Amazing store.

Using funds AFTER the event

Some expenses can only be reimbursed after the event. Please save your receipts for the following expenses and
submit the form provided within 2 weeks after the event. Miss Amazing will issue check reimbursements within
45 days if you have enough remaining funds on file.

Airfare and Mileage: Save receipts for airline tickets, checked bags, gas, and other travel-related expenses.

Parking: Hotel parking will be reimbursed after the event. Please save receipts.

Food: Save receipts for any meals purchased during the days of the event, including those purchased at the
hotel.

orders. This is your Order Summary! Your Order Summary will reflect your orders as soon as you submit them
through the National Miss Amazing Order Form. Feel free to refer to it at any time to review the orders that
Miss Amazing has on file for you.

Introducing: Team Leaders

Around one week before the National Summit, we will introduce you to your National Miss Amazing Team
Leader! Your Team Leader will be your dedicated support person throughout your experience at the National
Miss Amazing Summit. Think of them as your dedicated Miss Amazing concierge.

Team Leaders will be taking the place of Buddies at

this year’s National Summit. Your Team Leader will
provide on-call support for you and approximately
four other families throughout the duration of
the summit (from 10 am - 8 pm each day). Over
the years, we’ve learned that securing quality 1:1
volunteer support for participants is not feasible
for an event of our size or duration. Instead, we’re
focusing our efforts on building a strong team of
Team Leaders that are prepared to know just about
everything about the National Summit and to be
on hand to help you and the other families in your
“team” throughout the duration of our four-day
event.

Team Leaders and Miss Amazing core event staff

will oversee all Miss Amazing activities and the
representatives participating in them. If your
representative requires 1:1 attention, a family
member, friend, or support person can feel free to
accompany them to their activities.

Your first point of contact for all National Miss Amazing-related questions is your Chapter Director or, in some
cases, a committee member that has been put in charge of guiding you.

2 Weeks After Your Local Event

Sign the Local Representative Contract linked in your National Summit welcome email.

- Last day to purchase bus passes (bus passes will NOT be

Last day for online ticket sales, including show and festival tickets.
Show and festival tickets will be available for purchase at the event.
Last Day for Sponsor a Queen donations. Miss Amazing will stop
accepting donations for Representatives after this date. If you receive
any inquiries from donors after this point, they will need to provide
July 26, 2021 their contribution directly to you.

Paperwork Freeze. In order to properly prepare for your

arrival, Miss Amazing will be unable to accomodate any
alterations or additions to representatives’ files after this
point.
