Case 1:

1. Recognizing and opening up the cultural gaps


I will be open with the team members and will be mindful to the cultural differences. I
will consult with the colleagues to explore how those gaps can lead to different ways of working
or managing the team, and then how this will influence how the team works together. Mapping
those differences, I will try to help make the team more successful.

2. Frequent and regular Communication


Frequent communication is an important activity for the entire team.
It is very important for geographically located teams.
I will regularly schedule meeting as it can be an easy way for team members to share their ideas
and expertise, learn from each other's experiences and keep people up to date on changes and
events in the company and staff.
It is important to be a careful listener as a manager. I ask questions to the team members so that I
can understand the things better. Also, I listen to their answers and doubts.

3. Ensure that all team members have an equal opportunity:


I will observe the way my team works and will set the strategy for better communication and
collaboration.
This can include anything from strategies for resolving the impediments to tackle conflicts
between the team members, and to strategies to balance participation.
I will establish rules of conduct for meetings to ensure participation as well as dedication.

4. Team formation:
I will access the team members and according to their expertise, I will assign the roles in the team
by having one to one conversation with everybody upon their interests. Roles can be Developer,
QA, Configuration manager.

5. Analyzing the Project with stakeholders


I will analyze the project budgets with the Product Owner and the Scrum Master.
Accordingly, will come up with the project risks and will try to analyze the risks throughout the
project lifecycle and account the potential risks.

6. Identification of tools to help the team to collaborate:


I will identify the tools that will help the teams to collaborate and function in a positive direction.
Tool selection depends upon the project budget. Generally, freeware tools are used majorly.

Case 2:

You are one of the Team members under another project Manager who is native Johannesburg
person. In this situation how will you go with the Project?

The roles and responsibilities of a team member are as follows:

a. Contribute to the overall project objectives and goals.


b. Complete the assigned deliverables on time.
c. Provide the expertise in my field of work.
d. Collaborate to other teammates in order to achieve the targets and meet the business needs.
e. Discuss with project manager regarding the growth with current roles and responsibilities.
f. Mentoring new resources and coordinating various technical activities within team.
g. Interact with fellow testers and developers to create test plans and assure that automated tests are
appropriately testing new features and alleviating efforts from manual testing.
h. Adhering to the project plan proposed by the Project Manager and try to achieve the allotted tasks
with high quality.

Case 3:

You are one of the team members and the Project Manager leaves the project in the last phase of
the Project. How you will go about the project along with other team member.

1. Take forward the Project goals created by the Project Manager and Project stakeholders.
2. I will ask the stakeholders if I can go through the Project scope, schedule and budget from the
Project Managers point of view.
3. I will access project performance reports and will perform value analysis. This will give me idea
about the manner the work was done.
4. I will check the risk register to know what we’re the risks and how they were controlled.
5. If there is a new project manager onboarding, I will assist him in conveying the information about
the work completed till the time.
6. I will study the project charter and project reports.
7. I will present my progress report including my achievements to the management.
8. I will follow up the managers work and responsibilities, behaviors, skill set and initiatives so that
I can overcome the gap.

1. Take forward the Project goals created by the Project Manager and Project stakeholders.
2. i will be able to raise the stakeholders if I will bear the Project scope, schedule and budget
from the Project Managers purpose of read.
3. i will be able to access project performance reports and can perform price analysis. this
