1. A committee of 15 members is to be formed from 268 members of a social


club to investigate various problem in certain city. By using simple random
sampling without replacement method, draw any two possible samples to
form a committee.

2. A bag contains 50 balls. Draw a random sample of 8 balls With replacement.

3. In a group of 100 persons there are 60 males and 40 females. 10 persons in


which 4 females are compulsory to be sent to attend a rally at New Delhi.
Draw a stratified random sample to be included in rally.

4. Following are the number of service centers of a certain company in different


States of India.

56, 3, 18, 44, 161, 30, 21, 5, 97, 71, 4, 7, 110, 79, 43, 31, 67, 48, 15, 51

Draw all possible systematic samples of size 5.

5. A list of marks of 200 students is available. Draw a random sample of 15


students using systematic random sampling . Obtain mean and median
of the sample so drawn .

6. Following are the average daily expences (in Rs.) on vegetables for 40 families.

Draw a simple random sample without replacement of 15 families . Compute


coefficient of variation and Karl pearson’s coefficient of skewness of the sample
so drawn.
