Securities in the Stock Exchange of Thailand

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) is the sole stock exchange of Thailand and is one of
the most vital stock exchange institution of South East Asia. As of today, 815 companies are
listed with the SET. The shares of all the listed companies are traded here and a lot of the
big Thai companies have issued their IPOs in this stock exchange as well. For example, the
insurance brokerage service giant Ngern Tid Lor Public Company Limited offered their IPO
here.

As we already know, that debt securities, equity securities and derivative securities are
traded in the stock exchange. The SET lists a wide range of equity and debt instruments.
Listed securities include ordinary shares, preferred shares, bonds and debentures,
warrants and covered warrants, and unit trusts. 

In the SET, 6 types of Equity securities are available which are common stock, preferred
stock, warrant, unit trust, depository receipt and Non-voting depository receipt. The
trading of diversified Mutual Funds also takes place here.

Many types of bonds have been traded through BEX, including corporate bonds,
government bonds and Asian Bond Fund. The 5-year Government bonds are regularly
traded in this exchange. We know that derivative securities are financial contracts whose
values are derived of underlying assets. In the SET a lot of derivatives such as convertible
bonds and swaps are also traded on a regular basis. Thus, this stock exchange deals in all
kinds of debt, equity and derivative securities.
