Adding Structure to
Your Day
How do you create a routine and
maintain it?

I treat the weekdays like the work week.

When I complete all my work, I get to spend the evenings

and weekend doing what I enjoy. I split my day into sections
depending on what I need to do and what time of day I
would be most effective at completing those tasks.

What do you do to stay
productive in between classes?

When I have an hour or two free in between my

classes, that's when I start planning ahead. For
example, I input my profs' office hours or drop in for
extra academic help at the Robert Gillespie
Academic Skills Centre (RGASC for short).

This way, my days don't feel so unstructured. Sara A.

Adapting to the virtual space
What helps you manage your time in
this new virtual learning space?

Something that has helped me cope with this new reality is

reminding myself that just because I am home all the time, doesn’t
mean I always have to be productive. Drawing the boundaries
between work time, study time (be it readings or lectures) and
leisure time is important!

How have you been staying in touch
with your friends virtually?

I've gotten into a routine of setting up online

hangouts with friends during the weekdays,
whether it's for lunch, some Animal Crossing, or
just talking.

Socializing with friends is something I did between

classes while on campus, so this is my virtual
solution! Amna A.
