Subject: Controlling car pollution

Date: 8/7/2021

Dear members of the Senate,

I hope you are healthy and safe during this pandemic and catching up on some TV shows and
movies. I am writing to you all regarding the pollution caused by vehicles, specifically cars and a
proposal for a bill to change that. Air pollution has steadily worsened and if left unchecked, it
might lead to a disastrous conclusion that could affect our daily life, perhaps even impact our
ability to do our jobs. There are measures in place to mitigate the effects in the form of laws and
regulations; however, I don’t think it’s quite enough.

During this pandemic, we have witnessed a great deal of difficulties and learned many lessons
from them. During this time, when people had stayed home in quarantine for almost a whole
year, the air quality was slightly better, as cars and other vehicles were not on the road. This
observation has led me to propose a solution for a bill.

To steadily combat air pollution, I propose a bill which would make possible cities across
America to voluntarily take turns quarantining for a few months. This will not be anything like
what we experienced in the pandemic, because this will be a prepared, well-informed
quarantine. States will divide up their cities into portions, and these portions will take turns
switching between quarantine and normal way of life. Of course, this will be implemented a
good bit after the pandemic has ended.

This bill can be an alternate solution to the air pollution. By voluntarily quarantining, not only will
the air pollution levels drop slightly, but people might get a chance to spend more time with their
family or relax a little by working from home for a few months. This could improve the health of
our planet, as well as mental health. Together, we can start a momentum that reaches across
the continent and eventually, throughout the world.

I look forward to closely work with you on this bill. I hope you will cooperate and discuss with me
any part of the bill you wish to change. If there are any comments or questions, feel free to
reach out through my email or give me a call. You are welcome to call me during the normal
work hours and contact me through email at your convenience.

Thank you for your time,
