Mixing instruction 9 5/8”-7” interval (Drill out cement plug)

1. Reserve#2 contains 200 bbl of LCM pill (120 ppb in concentration). In case LCM needs to
be pumped, pump screen should be removed to avoid plugging.
2. Premix tank contains HI-VIS pill. The pill can be pumped on fly. If need to make 120 bbl
of HI-VIS, mix 3-4 sx of ID-VIS to reach 100 sec FV.
3. Reserve#1 and slug contains normal 9.3 ppg mud and can be used to top up the active
tank
4. IDEC tanks contain Salt CaCo3 mud as the following breakdown:

Reserve#1 (500 bbl) 9.8 ppg (kill mud) can be used in case of emergency after dilution to 9.3
ppg.

Reserve#2 (500 bbl) 9.3 ppg can be used to top up the rig mud system tanks.

Reserve#3 (500 bbl) 9.3 ppg can be used to top up the rig mud system tanks.

5. pH must be checked periodically, if pH increased, add (4-6 sx) of sodium bicarbonate to

control cement contamination.
6. Shakers should be cleaned thoroughly with high pressure hose, however, be careful not
to damage the screen.
7. IDEC tanks should always be filled with waste water whenever room is available to mix
new mud.
8. To mix 500 bbl of 9.3 ppg using waste water, fill the tank to 470 bbl and mix the
chemicals as below and with the same sequence:

 Salt 4-5 BB
 Zinc Oxide 4 sx
 Sodium bicarbonate 2 sx
 ID-Vis 7-9 sx (must be added slowly 5 min/sx and allow shearing for 15
mins)
 CaCo3 3-4 BB ( Until mud weight 9.3 ppg)
9. Mud weight and viscosity must be checked every 30 mins. ( if any
abnormal numbers, inform mud engineer immediately).
10. Losses must be checked every 30 mins and be recorded. (if any abnormal
losses, inform mud engineer immediately).
11. If the pH dropped suddenly under 10, mix zinc oxide and inform mud
engineer immediately.
