Reading comprehension
Mai is sitting in Dr Lan;’s surgery Dr Lan is checking her teeth. Dr Lan is kind. She smiles
at Mai and says” Don’t worry , Mai. You have one small cavity, but it isn’t serious. Your
other teeth are fine.”
Mai is very happy. Dr Lan fills the cavity in Mai’s tooth. She finishes in less than 10
minutes. Mai is very pleased. Then Dr Lan sits down and talk to Mai again. “ How often
do you brush your teeth?” She asks. Mai looks worried again. “ oh, I….. well, sometimes I
forget to brush my teeth.”
“ Try not to forget .” Dr Lan says. “ Brushing your teeth is very important. Clean teeth are
healthy teeth.”
