3 Recommendations
Insulation is very important aspect in any building construction. A neglect of it will cause
a serious discomfort to the people working in the studio and people residing in the
building of the studio. Based on the findings of the research, the following
recommendations are made as effective and efficient means of controlling sound in
public buildings;
Architects and builders should have reasonable consideration to sound mitigation
in design estate.
Architects should try as much as possible to include acoustic materials in their
designing’s and specification respectively.
The studio owner (building owners should be educated well for him to appreciate
the need for noise/sound mitigation/insulation.
Regulation for sound for good insulation should be included in the building
regulation of the Nigeria institute of builders (NIOB).
The operations in the construction industries should be given training on the most
appropriate ways to achieve insulation.
Site engineers and workers should be meticulous when handling insulation work.
The building code for sound control should be introduced to prevent noise and be
used in constructions for the third world countries also.
