Personally, I think it really depends really. Whenever

you are in agent situation, phoning is considered to be
the best way as it give you a little time to put through
the other. Moreover, it’s obvious that students prefer to
chat rather than make a phone call because of the lack
of money. On the contrary, the elderly people are keen
on calling because they are not really good at mobile
phone and it’s impossible for them to texting quickly.
Additionally, when you are phoning, you can easily
express your feeling through your voice which can give
you a chance to build up a relationship.
