PROCEDURE of ON-SITE EQUIPMENT SET-UP & INITIAL TEST for 5000S

This procedure might be useful to execute the equipment initial setup and initial test on-site.
This procedure is procedure to initial setup the equipment simply on-site. And, should refer
to the equipment instruction manual and the PNMT operating manual for detailed equipment
operation and the test procedure.

At opposite site
1. Set the “Maintenance Mode”.

“Configuration” → “System Maintenance”

“CTRL[ ] Maintenance” → “ON” → “Execute”

2. Set the “Manual Transmit Mode”.

“Configuration” → “Maintenance Control” → “TRP-MODULE” or “TRP-SYS”

“Manual Transmit Level Control Power” → Manual Transmit Level Control “ON” →
Manual Transmit Level Control Power “put attenuation value (one either of -20 to 0dB)” →
“Execute”

At local site

3. Set the “Maintenance Mode”.

“Configuration” → “System Maintenance”

“CTRL[ ] Maintenance” → “ON” → “Execute”

4. Set the “Antenna Alignment Mode”.

“Configuration” → “Maintenance Test” → “MDP-[01-05]-MODULE” or “MDP[01-05]-SYS”

“Antenna Alignment Output” → Antenna Alignment Mode “Enable” → “Execute”

After execute alignment mode, change status Normal to “Enable”

5. Connect the lead wire of the AGC monitor to the IDB connector (Z5 or Z25). And, lead wire
reaches the position near the antenna on the tower, and connects it with the VOLTMETER.

SD (one either of 1 to 127ns)) → Adjust → Execute

The window of “Adjust Operation Value” is changed adjusted value into the yellow highlight
and window of “Adjust Operation” is changes to “Adjust”.

Enter another value and execute repeatedly until the voltage of the DADE V monitor become
minimum (approximate0.1V).
VOLTMETER

Make to minimum voltage.

7. Completed DADE adjustment

After DADE monitor voltage become minimum voltage,

“Adjust Operation” → Save → Execute → The word character of "Adjust Operation Value"
and "Adjust Operation" was masked. And, DADE adjustment is completed

8. After completing the DADE Adjustment, change back the setting to the original setting state.

INTFC Delay Adjustment
1. Set the “Maintenance Mode”.

“Configuration” → “System Maintenance”

“CTRL[ ] Maintenance” → “ON” → “Execute”

2. TX Test Operation.

Set the TX Test Operation Mode for corresponding channel.

Open the “Link Summary” window.

“TX Test Operation” → TX Test Operation “ON” → “Execute”

3. INTFC Delay Adjustment.

“Maintenance Control” → “MDP[01-05]-SYS”

“Delay Adjust” of corresponding SYS → “Execute”

Open the “Warning” window → “OK”

4. Completed delay adjustment.

Confirm the LED of IN PHASE on the INTFC card is turned on and “PROT FASYNC”, REG
FASYNC” and "Adjust Time Out" in the Delay Adjust window of PNMT becomes "Not
Occurred".

5. After completing the INTFC Delay Adjustment, change back the setting to the original setting
state.
