PANDEMIC…. Ford is a multi-million dollar company started by henry ford in the year 1903 which is focused on producing and selling cars, and started off with great sales, but in the last few years there sales have dropped slightly due to a very few models being bought by customers .After the virus struck and lock down was implemented there sales dropped even further. The major threats faced by ford during this pandemic are the low demand for cars and the low stock market share prices. Ford has also not produced many new cars over the years thus not creating excitement or want within customers to buy their product. This pandemic has surely not been very kind to ford but it’s not the end. Ford can use these times to get into other streams of business like producing pharmaceutical products to fight covid- 19 which will help them gain sales. Furthermore, they can manufacture new cars or remodel the old ones to have new sanitary systems which will sanitise the user of the car and the car itself with the push of a button for their safety. They can also remodel their old cars to new attractive ones and sell them at lower prices to increase customer want. With Ola and Uber now reopening ford can get into alliances with these companies and provide them with the self-sanitising cars which will ensure the riders safety as they will be under constant fear of being affected by the virus. Finally, with a good marketing strategy and lower prices of their cars and with mass advertising of their new cars they can gain back sales and become the company they once were. Ford as a company will also be providing the self- sanitary cars to uber and installing this feature in there already available vehicles, as the customers don’t feel safe to travel in taxis during this pandemic, to add on to that uber will also collaborate with ford to deliver quality drugs to hospitals which require them. With the help advertising we are planning to reach out to the people informing them about the self-sanitary cars and how Uber and Ford will collaborate with each other for there customers.
