WE ARE THE JONES.

Our family is praying for the perfect home in Houston

Heights. We have many close friends (eight families!)
in the area from our church, and are hoping to be in
closer proximity to them. We are looking for a
neighborhood with a wonderful community, where
our kids can ride their bikes down the road to a
friend’s house and be involved in community
activities. We are looking for a home that we can
take care of and only improve its value.

Here is a little about us…

Starting from the top, we have Doug, a Austin native.

He moved to Houston in 2000 to attend the
University of Houston. He spends his days at the
best place to work Houston (according to him and the
Houston Chronicle), where he is an amazing
software designer. He makes sure the software looks in such a way that the user has
the best possible experience. When he’s not designing, he loves spending time with our
family, working in the yard, playing guitar and reading Steinbeck classics.

Then there’s me, Amanda. I am a Baylor University graduate from Waco, but moved
to Houston in 2003 to attend graduate school at the University of Houston. Now, I am
a stay-at home mom to our very active and usually crazy boys. They keep me busy,
entertained, and exhausted. When I am not focused on keeping them safe and happy,
I enjoy running (I have run 15 marathons across the country, including the Boston
Marathon last month!), catching up on mindless television, and reading.

Next, we have Rhett. He’s a never-stopping, full-of-energy, 4-year-old superhero by

day, and the sweetest angel you ever saw asleep by night. He is unusually good at
puzzles, anxious to play soccer this
summer, and hungry all the time. Rhett will
be attending Baptist Preschool this year,
and will start kindergarten in the fall of
2017.

And finally, we have Abel. We like to call

him “sweet and sour.” He is the sweetest
charming cuddlebug, but can turn on you in
a second. I guess that’s why they call it the
terrible two’s. Abel turns 3 in November
2017, and is also scheduled to attend
Baptist Preschool this year.
