• Plants are useful to us in many ways.
• We get spices, tea, coffee, chocolate, sugar, fibres, medicines,
perfumes and dyes from plants.
• spices: turmeric, black pepper, cardamon, clove etc
• tea: tea leaves
• coffee: coffee seeds
• chocolate: cacao seeds
• sugar: sugarcane plant
• oil: sunflower, mustard, castor
• fibres: cotton-cloth, jute-rope, coconut- bag etc

• medicines: mint, basil, neem etc.

• Answer: Plants like neem are used in some toothpastes and soaps.
Neem plants also help in killing germs.
• perfumes: perfume-rose, jasmine etc

Answer: We get rubber from the juice of rubber trees.

Answer: Rubber is a used for making eraser, tyres, pipes, mats,
sandals etc

Answer: bamboo and sugarcane

Answer: We get paper from wood.

• Answer: We use wood for making houses, furniture, pencils, boats,
