Climate change have been very difficult over the past few years, especially the current crisis we are in,
one example is in India as remote part villages in the Himalayans have livelihoods and careers in farming
as this their only mode of income for their families, the problem is climate change had shrunk glaciers
and made rainfall very unpredictable, water is needed in farming but does not come by till summer. To
help these farmers engineer sonam wanchuk has invented a solution to help this farmer from water
shortage.

First of have you guys have heard about the Ice Stupa project? It is an artificially made ice glaciers that
are made in remote parts of a country especially countries that can be hot and has an insufficient
amount of water.

In most dry countries especially the Himalayans, most people depend on water as their main source of
income for their farms, livelihood etc., the idea is freezing natural spring water during the winter and
then would melt in the summer and turned into water which is passed down by a large tube that is
connected in a large reservoir then delivered in villages.

What makes me intrigued by the design is that it is really a simple idea and not to costly as well,
concerning the fact that most remote places in dry countries suffer from the shortage of natural water.
