The Importance of Prophecy

Here’s a Challenge from God

Isaiah 41.22 “Let them bring forth and show us what will happen; Let them show the former things,
what they were, That we may consider them, And know the latter end of them; Or declare to us things
to come. 23 Show the things that are to come hereafter, *That we may know that you are *; Yes, do
good or do evil, That we may be dismayed and see it together. (NKJV)

1. Prophecy gives us proof that the bible is indeed inspired as evident by it being fulfilled

2. Prophecy tells us where we stand in the history of the earth and where we are heading, every
major thing, God has laid down for us, that we may not be cot unaware by any important part of
event

3. Prophecy puts God in His place, since He through His Spirit inspired the bible, prophecy certifies
that only He, can see the end from the beginning

Isaiah 46:9 - Remember the former things of old, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and
there is none like Me, 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are
not yet done, Saying, "My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,'

Isaiah 48:3 "I have declared the former things from the beginning; They went forth from My mouth, and
I caused them to hear it. Suddenly I did them, and they came to pass. 4 Because I knew that you were
obstinate, And your neck was an iron sinew, And your brow bronze, 5 Even from the beginning I have
declared it to you; Before it came to pass I proclaimed it to you, Lest you should say, "My idol has done
them, And my carved image and my molded image Have commanded them.'

The king, Nebuchadnezzar had a dream and according to Daniel, this dream was concerning the things
that shall be in the latter days the days of

KJV Daniel 2:28

28 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar
*what shall be in the latter days.* Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;
In the kings dream, he king saw a statue of a man

Head - Gold

Chest and arms - Silver

Belly and thighs - Bronze

Legs - Iron

Feet and toes - Iron mixed with clay

All these separate parts of the statue where representing kingdoms According to Daniel

So we start with the head of gold

KJV Daniel 2:37-38

37 Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and
strength, and glory.

38 And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath
he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold.

Nebuchadnezzar was the king of Babylon, he is said to be this head of Gold

So this head of gold is representing the kingdom of Babylon

If we check in History, Babylon ruled between 605 BC and 539 BC

That's when it was in power, as the greatest world kingdom during that time.

KJV Daniel 2:39

39 And *after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee* and another third kingdom of brass,
which shall bear rule over all the earth.

So by then, Babylon was the greatest, and the next that came after it, where the Medes and Persians
Or simply Medo-Persia, the chest and arms of silver as represented on the image dreamt by the king.

It concurred Babylon and was the new greatest world kingdom

We can see this in Daniel 5

Nebuchadnezzar’s son who was Belshazzar was on the throne when the kingdom was overthrown

The Below statement was part of what God had to inscribe in the wall for Belshazzar and so it happened

KJV Daniel 5:28

28 PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.

As you can note, both the chest and the arms have 2 aspects to them, so does Medo-Persia

Which ruled from 539 BC to 331 BC according to worlds history

It’s the second world kingdom following Babylon.

We go to the 3rd one, the one of brass

KJV Daniel 2:39

39 And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, *and another third kingdom of brass,
which shall bear rule over all the earth.*

The kingdom that took over after Medo-Persia was Greece, under the rule of Alexander the great

Evidently, their weapons were mainly of bronze and they ruled from 331-168 BC According to history.

So this would be the 3rd kingdom after Babylon

Then the legs of iron

After Greece came the Roman empire

Their weapons mainly characterized by iron

Ruled from 168BC -476 AD

2 legs and simply there was Eastern and Western Rome hence the aspect of 2 comes out there

They where in power in the time of Christ, and of the apostles

We see them all through the life of Christ, from birth to death

They are the legs of iron

Notice, this 4th Kingdom is neither destroyed nor concurred by another, but rather it splits into 10 due
to successive barbarian invasions , as evident by the 10 toes.

Some weak some Strong

KJV Daniel 2:41-42

41 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall
be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed
with miry clay.

42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong,
and partly broken.

Below are the 10 divisions with their Morden European names

Alemanni ~ Germany

Lombards~Italy

Franks~France

The following where destroyed, in those years

Heruli in AD 493
Vandals in AD 534

Ostrogoths in AD 538

That makes 10

KJV Daniel 2:42-43

42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong,
and partly broken.

43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of
men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

From these 2 verses we notice, they shall try to mingle with the seed of men but as clay cannot mix with
iron so will they not cleave one to another.

Mingling here is in reference to intermarriages and the likes but prophecy says they shall not mix, never
again will they unite. People have tried and failed, the likes of Hitler, Napoleon etc they failed, the word
of the Lord has said it won’t happen and so it didn’t and it still won’t.

According to the prophecy, what comes after the toes

KJV Daniel 2:33-35

33 His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.

34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that
were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.

35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and
became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place
was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole
earth.

So this stone "cut out without hands,"

It smites the statue *at it toes* and it was destroyed and came to nothing, but what is this stone

KJV Daniel 2:44-45

44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be
destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all
these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it
brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to
the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof
sure.

Without hands simply means its no human intervention, its divine.

This is the kingdom of God, Christ is the stone the foundation of the holy kingdom

KJV Acts 4:11

11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

And Daniel explains how this stone is the Kingdom which The God of heaven shall set up, and its being
set up in the days of these kings, i.e. when we will still be having the those European around, like we do
now. This is reason to believe that the coming of Christ is near, even at the door. Let us, through Christ’s
help make the necessary changes in our lives so that when He comes, He will be a redeemer to us, not a
stern judge. So after the toes we can safely conclude there comes the kingdom of Heaven.

Right now, we are down to the Toes of the statue, that’s where we are in time prophecy and the next
thing after that is the setting up of the Kingdom of God which is the coming of Christ.

We are the last in line. The world has not much time left, lets use the best of our chances to be better
acquainted with Jehovah The Lord our God. It always starts with a choice, a choice to follow Christ, to
build your destiny upon that stone, which is cut without hands. Heaven will be full of sinners, sinners
who chose to let Christ change them, will you chose to be among those favoured souls????
