Description
In this lesson ss learn about present continuous affirmative form and meaning ( something that is happening in
the present moment ) through a guided discovery song "Sailing" by Rod Stewart .First of all ss listen and put the
lyrics in order.Then T elicits the marker sentence ( I am sailing / I am flying) .T asks CCQs to check meaning ( Is
this happening now ? yes ) and draws timeline. T highlights form and pronunciation. ss do a controlled practice (
cross word puzzle) then a semi controlled one . at the end ss do a free activity( mime it ) using mime and
gestures .

Main Aims
 To provide clarification and practice of of present continuous meaning and affirmative/negative form
in the context of I'm sailing / I'm flying

Subsidiary Aims
 To provide inference listening practice using a text about present continuous in the context of I am
flying Like a bird 'Cross the sky'
