Challenge A Rules and Expectations

You MAY: You may NOT:


Seek out opportunities to encourage your Use words to tear down, gossip or

your accomplishments. yourself to others.

You Must:

 Respect your tutor, your classmates, and the facilities we meet in.
 Come with a teachable attitude spirit and a willingness to learn.
 Work diligently at home and come prepared to discuss each strand during seminar.
 Bring all necessary supplies and completed assignments to class.
 Observe proper hygiene and come ready to be in community.

Specific ways to disrupt class:

 Interruptions (same as “talking over” others)


 Talking to neighbor instead of whole class (causes a general buzz of noise that may be
distracting to others)
 Going off-topic
 Dominating the conversation and not letting others have a say
 Raising your voice (there are other classes around us )

If there is a clear and consistent violation of class rules, I will require a meeting
with student, parent, and our area representative to address the issue and decide how to
move forward.

Because Challenge A involves a high level of discussion you must THINK before you
speak:

T - Is it true?
H - Is it helpful?
I - Is it inspiring?
N - Is it necessary?
K - Is it kind?
