ADMISSION

FOR THE SESSION-2021 (BATCH-21)


Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology, Nawabshah is a Public
Sector University recognized by Higher Education Commission, Islamabad.
Applications are invited on the prescribed Application Form, from eligible candidates domiciled in the
province of Sindh for admission at Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology,
Nawabshah and QUEST, Campus Larkano in First Year of Bachelor Degree Program (four year) full
time in the following disciplines under Regular, Self-Finance and University Development Program
(UDP) Scheme. Candidates having the domicile of other provinces can only apply under Self-Finance
and UDP scheme of the University against the reserved quota. Some seats are also reserved for overseas
Pakistan candidates fulfilling the admission criteria. Candidates who have passed (HSC) Annual Examination,
2021, or before up to Annual examination 2019, are eligible to apply for admission.
A. BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING (B.E)
DISCIPLINES AT QUEST, NAWABSHAH MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY / QUALIFICATIONS

i. Civil Engineering i) Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary


Certificate (HSC) (Pre-Engineering) with minimum 60%
ii. Mechanical Engineering aggregate marks excluding the marks of Hifz-ul-Quran.
iii. Energy Systems Engineering OR
iv. Environmental Engineering
v. Chemical Engineering Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the
University (minimum 60% aggregate marks excluding
vi. Electrical Engineering the marks of Hifz-ul-Quran).
vii. Electronic Engineering
viii. Computer Systems Engineering ii) Candidates who passed Diploma of Associate Engineer
in Annual Examination 2021 or before up to Annual

B. FACULITY OF TECHNOLOGY
DISCIPLINES AT QUEST, NAWABSHAH
MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY / QUALIFICATIONS
(i) Bachelor of Studies Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Certificate
(Agro Food Processing Engineering Technology)** (HSC) (Pre-Engineering) with minimum 60% aggregate
marks excluding the marks of Hifz-ul-Quran.
OR
Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the

C. BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (B.S)
DISCIPLINES AT QUEST, NAWABSHAH
MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY / QUALIFICATIONS
(ii) BS (Information Technology (IT) )
Candidates who passed HSC (Pre-Engineering,
Pre-Medical and General Science with Mathematics) with
minimum 60% aggregate marks excluding the marks of
Hifz-ul-Quran.
OR
Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the
University (minimum 60% aggregate marks excluding the
marks of Hifz-ul-Quran).
(iii) BS (Computer Science (CS) ) Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Certificate
(HSC) (Pre-Engineering) with minimum 60% aggregate
marks excluding the marks of Hifz-ul-Quran.
OR
Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the
University (minimum 60% aggregate marks excluding the
marks of Hifz-ul-Quran).

(iv) BS (Mathematics (MS) ) Candidates who passed HSC (Pre-Engineering, General


Science with Mathematics) with minimum 60% aggregate
marks excluding the marks of Hifz-ul-Quran.
OR
Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the
University (minimum 60% aggregate marks excluding the
marks of Hifz-ul-Quran).
(v) Bachelor of studies
Candidates, who have passed HSC (Pre-Engineering,
BS (English (Language & Literature) ) Pre-Medical and Computer Science) with minimum 60%
aggregate marks excluding the marks of Hifz-ul-Quran.
OR
Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the
University (minimum 60% aggregate marks excluding the
marks of Hifz-ul-Quran).
(vi) BS (Physics)
Candidates who passed HSC (Pre-Engineering)
with minimum 60% aggregate marks excluding the marks of
Hifz-ul-Quran.
OR
Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the
University (minimum 60% aggregate marks excluding the
marks of Hifz-ul-Quran).

(vii) BS (Artificial Intelligence)


Candidates who passed HSC (Pre-Engineering,
and Pre-Medical) with minimum 60% aggregate marks
excluding the marks of Hifz-ul-Quran.
OR
Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the
University (minimum 60% aggregate marks excluding the
marks of Hifz-ul-Quran).

NOTE: (i) Candidates passed SSC-II Annual examination before 2016 are not eligible for admission at the University.
NOTE: (ii) Candidates who appeared in the HSC-II Annual Examination, 2021 and are waiting for the results are also eligible
to apply for the admission under in all schemes. They will have to attach the “Appearance Certificate” issued from the office of
the Principal of the concerned College showing seat number of the HSC Part-II examination and HSC-I Mark Certificate
attached with the Admission Form. Additionally, it is mandatory that the candidates will have to send the “Mark Certificate of
HSC Part-II” showing 60% marks and above within week’s time after the announcement of the result by the concerned Board
to the office of the Chairman, Admissions QUEST, Nawabshah. Candidates will have to mention clearly on the back of the
“Marks Certificate” the “Application Form Number” and the category under which he/she has applied for admission and the
district of his/her domicile. Only those candidates will be issued “Admit Cards” for appearing in the Pre-Admission Test who
have secured minimum 60% aggregate marks. (Grace marks given by the Board for improvement of Grade shall not be
counted). The admission of students shall be cancelled if they has less 60% marks in HSC-II.

PRE-ADMISSION TEST
All eligible aspirant candidates for seeking admission to Pre-Admission Test date shall be announced later on
any of B.E. / BS Program at Quaid-e-Awam University / and displayed on QUEST, website. www.quest.edu.pk
Campus Larkano are required to appear in an MCQ type
(written) Pre-Admission Test and have to obtain
minimum score of 40 percent marks. Model paper of
such test and other relevant information has been
incorporated in the Prospectus.
ADMISSION FORMS
Application forms for admission can be obtained from the following designated TCS Branch Offices from
23.08.2021 to 17.09.2021 on payment of Rs. 3100/- (Rupees Three Thousand One Hundred Only) during
working hours from 9:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m.

Application Form can also be obtained from the Admission office of QUEST, after a written request accompanied
by Bank Draft of Rs. 3100/- (including courier charges) in favour of Director Finance, QUEST, Nawabshah with a
self addressed large envelope (size 11” x 15”).
Application Form duly completed in all respects with attested Photostat copies of the required documents can be
submitted in the same designated TCS Office from where application form was collected before the closing date
i.e. 17.09.2021.
SELF FINANCE SCHEME
Under this scheme various disciplines have been distributed in categories as under. The number of seats for each
discipline have been reserved on district basis:
Note: No Application Form under Self Finance Scheme will be considered without original “Bank Demand
Draft” as required as Self Finance Fee.
Category-I
Self-Finance Scheme for B.E degree program (Civil, Electrical & Mechanical) is Rs.11,55, 000/- (Rupees Eleven
Lacs Fifty Five Thousand Only) (in two installments) including Government Tax. The Bank Demand Draft
should be prepared in favor of Director Finance, QUEST, Nawabshah.
Category-II
Self-Finance Scheme for Bachelor of Engineering degree program (Electronic, Computer Systems, Energy
System, Telecommunication, Chemical, Software, Environmental & Automation & Control) is Rs.7,35,000/-
(Rupees Seven Lacs and Thirty Five Thousand Only) (in two installments) including Government Tax. The
Bank Demand Draft should be prepared in favor of Director Finance, QUEST, Nawabshah or online deposit
receipt and the same be attached with the Application Form.
NOTE: Admission on Self Finance scheme for category-II will be made in case of availability of seats only.
In case of admission under Self Finance Scheme in Bachelor of Science (BS) degree program is:
i. BS (Information Technology) is Rs.6,00,000/- (Rupees Six Lacs Only) (in two installments) including Government Tax.
ii. BS (Computer Science) & BS (Artificial Intelligence) is Rs.4,00,000/- (Rupees Four Lacs Only) (in two installments)
including Government Tax.
iii. BS (Mathematics & Statistics), BS (Physics) & BS English (Language and literature) is Rs.3,00, 000/- (Rupees Three
Lacs Only) (in two installments) including Government Tax.
(First installment shall be paid with admission Form and Second Installment will be paid at the start of Second Semester First year)
NOTE: Preference will be given on full payment without installments.

The Bank Demand Draft should be prepared in favor of Director Finance, QUEST, Nawabshah.

Eligible candidates from abroad (Foreigner) / Overseas Pakistani can also apply for admission on “Self Finance
Basis” against the payment of US $ 10000/= (US Dollar Ten Thousand Only). The Bank Demand Draft should be
prepared in favor of Director Finance, QUEST, Nawabshah subject to the condition the clearance is issued from the
Government of Pakistan.

SCHEDULE OF INTERVIEW FOR ADMISSION AND START OF CLASSES WILL BE DISPLAYED ON UNIVERSITY
