This pandemic brings crisis around the world and it seems that it has a big effect

especially for businesses. Many people became unemployed where some companies needs to
decrease their employees to survive the business while others went bankrupt. This Covid-19 is
not just a virus that is spreading, it is a threat that can destroy everything you have. Many
people were starving and just rely on Government to sustain their needs. Due to Covid 19 virus
the expected loss in Gross Domestic Product globally reached for about 76.7 billion U.S. dollars
and due to travel bans predictions of GDP loss could reach up to 345.98 billion U.S. dollars. It is
a very big loss that it will take years in order to regain it. Many companies just like Apple Inc.,
H&M, BMW and even Coca-Cola struggled even though it is a big company and have all the
resources they still had a hard time transporting their goods since travelling is prohibited right
now in order to stop the spread of virus. Aside from prohibition of travelling there’s also lack in
workforce since there’s limited people who can work and there’s low demand of goods. But not
all businesses went unlucky during this pandemic some even grow their business especially
when it comes to food business and other products. Many people are staying at home and
since food is our necessity people find a way for their satisfaction. Social Media became a big
help to market their products and to deliver it to their home. Many people are afraid to go to
malls that’s why people engage more on Lazada, Shopee, Amazon, Alibaba and other online
platforms to shop and buy things they wanted even it is exported from other countries.
Through this it increase sales of manufactured products and other products available online.
Business struggled on the first quarter of pandemic especially when lockdown happens where
no one can really go out and do their work, the impact of it leads to great loss but then people
keep on adapting to new normal and businesses too, everything might not be the same as
before but there are different ways to survive your business. This pandemic serves as a
challenge for every business, making a solution or turning threat into opportunity will show if
you are a good leader. Whatever business you have you just need to be wise and follow the
trend and modernization in order to survive the future.
