The bar graph gives the information about the number of trips made by children of age group 5 to 12 for

attending their school using various means of traveling, during the years 1990 and 2010.

Overall, it can be seen that many options like car, bus, cycling and walking were available, even though,
no means of transportation has remained popular during both years, in a country.

In 1990, the way of transportation, walking, and cycling, in which physical activity was involved were
more popular than the car, only about one-third of pupils preferred car compared to walking to school.
Around 6 million trips were done by the cycling, walking, walking and bus and by bus, each, this number
is about half to the students who adopted walking for to and fro journey.

Twenty years later, in 2010, oppositely, school-going students were seen traveling more by care than all
other modes of travel. Only 6 million trips were noted in the case of walking which is nearly half of the
number for the car. Cycling was the least preferred mode of traveling (only 2million trips), which is even
one-third of the case of walking.
