Hi. I’m Florabelle May D.

Libawan, Labor and Employment Officer I from the Department of

Labor and Employment Regional Office VI. At present, I handle Alien Employment Permits which focuses
on the regulation of the employment foreign nationals; and Child Labor Prevention and Elimination
program which aims to remove the children from child labor and its worst forms, and to prevent those
who are at risk by the conduct of profiling and referring them and their family members to necessary
services such livelihood assistance, skills trainings, and the likes.

I have a few expections from Organization Studies, first is that I expect this subject to give me a
deeper understanding on how organizations work. Secondly, I want to further learn how to corelate the
internal and external factors in an organization to address difficulties and setbacks for it to arrive with
strategies to overcome it. Third, I expect that this subject could also help me understand the workforce
as they are the lifeline of the organization and to inspire them (positive reinforcement) in going further
and going extra miles to achieve targets. And lastly, by the end of the semester, I expect that I could
formulate and apply theories and ideas for an organization to help it achieve it’s goals and expected
outcomes in the best possible and most practical way to save time as well as expenses.
