Friedrich Nietzsche’s “Will to power” believes that there is power that seeks to dominate others.
There is really no freedom because we are fated toward determinism and fatalism. “Cause and Effect”
questions the probability of freedom and free choice. What is happening now is bound to happen again.
We are floating a universe where everything repeats itself because there is nature. We are part of
nature, and nature according to Nietzsche, nature is the will to power. Nature pursues what is pro-life, it
dominates in order to ensure that it get its goals. Nature is like the ‘new god’.

Jean-Paul Sartre on the one hand, has an existentialist view on nature. He believes that
existence precedes essence. Essence is who you are. But That “who you are” is standing on who you are
to become. You are given with something to start with so that you can finish the whole picture so that
you can standout who you are. My choices matter more than anything else and the instrument of choice
is the will of man and not the will of nature.
