3. Conclusion: Concluding/ Closing Sentence » It ties the ideas,

used to ** عند وجود زمن محدد نستخدم الماضي البسيط وال نستخدم
- Last year, Uncle Tom travelled abroad.
- Uncle Tom used to travel in the past.
. فاننها تعني أن الفاعل اليزال معتادا علي هذا الفعلbe/ get بused to ** عندما تسبق
- She is used to (driving) manual cars. be/ get + used to + v.ing/ noun
Past simple Passive: {was/ were + p.p}
- He told me the truth. → I was told the truth.
- I didn’t fix my problems. → My problems weren’t fixed.
Examples:
- After mum had come, we ate our lunch.
- Before we ate our lunch, mum had come.
- Mum had come, after that, we ate our lunch.
- We didn’t eat our lunch till mum had come.
- Our lunch wasn’t eaten until mum had come.

يعقبها تكوين سؤالNo sooner/ Hardly/ scarcely ☺ عندما تبدأ الجملة بـ
- Scarcely had I seen him when I said hello!
- No sooner had we eaten than we had a dessert.
يشترط أن يكون الفاعل واحد،↓ ☺ الحظ أنه مع كل الروابط التي ال تتبع بجمله كامله مثل
after/ before + v.ing ، having + p.p ، on + v.ing
- After eating my lunch, I took a nap.
- Having finished the HW, I went out with my friends.
- Having been finished, the HW was checked by the teacher.
- On seeing the criminal, I called the police.
- On being seen, the criminal ran away.
☺ الحظ أن كل روابط الماضي التام يمكن أن تتبع بالماضي البسيط في الجملتين للدالله
.علي السرعه والتتابع وعدم وجود فاصل زمني
- As soon as we arrived, the lesson began.
- When I understood the lesson, I answered the quiz myself.
- It was only when he travelled that she followed him.

او اذا كانت هناك داللة علي أن الكالم قيل حديثا فال نغير الزمن, ، اذا كان فعل القول زمنه مضارع-
- “I am ready for the exam.”
- Ahmed says that he is ready for the exam.
- Mum has just said “we are travelling to Alex tomorrow”.
- Mum has just said that we are travelling to Alex the day after.
ال يتغير الزمن أيضا اذا لم تتغير الكلمات الزمنيه-
- She said that she (played – had played) a match yesterday.
: هناك أيضا تعبيرات وقواعد زمنية ثابته ال تتغير مثل-
* would rather/ had better/ used to / all conjunctions ""كل الروابط
- He said to me, “I used to play tennis when I was a kid.”

* I wish/ I’d rather/ It’s time + past simple ال يتغير الماضي البسيط

Reported questions: تحويل السؤال الي غير مباشر
عند تحويل السؤال يجب أن نرجع بالزمن خطوة الي الماضي، كما سبق في تحويل الجملة-
يجب أن نغير الضمائر وظروف الزمان والمكان-
: بل نستخدم أفعال استفهامية مثلsay or tell يجب أال نستخدم الفعل-
Asked – inquired – wanted to know - wondered
فقط قد تتبع بمفعول أو ال أما باقي األفعال فال تتبع بمفعول أبداAsked ولكن الحظ أن-
يجب أن نغير الترتيب االستفهامي الي ترتيب خبري و نحذف عالمة االستفهام-
في السؤال الذي يبدأ باداة استفهام نربط بنفس كلمة االستفهام-
if or whether نربط بـ، وفي السؤال الذي يبدأ بفعل مساعد ونجيب عنه بنعم أو ال-

وال ننسي تحويل الضمائروتحويل ظروف الزمان والمكان-

للتعبير عن رغبة قوية تنبع من داخل االنسان-

للتعبير عن أهمية شئ بوجه عام نذكر أنفسنا بيه -
- We must buy a present for Ali’s birthday.
- Drivers must stop when the traffic light is red. .لنص القانون والالفتات -
- You must not step on the grass.
The past المـاضي
had to هوhave to لذلك فان الماضي منها ومن، must ال يوجد ماضي من-
- We had to do a test at school today.
- Don’t/ doesn’t have to/ need to (or) needn’t: تستخدم للتعبير عن عدم الضرورة
- She isn’t late for school. She doesn’t have to/ needn’t take a taxi.
- I’ll give you a lift, you don’t have to/ needn’t taka a taxi.
Remember!
- I didn’t have to buy more bread. We already have a lot.
هنا أنا لم اكن مضطرا أن اشتري خبزا فلم أشتري، تعني عدم وقوع الحدثdidn’t have to الحظ أن-
- I needn’t have bought more bread. We already have a lot.
فهنا أنا اشتريت خبزا ولم يكن، فتعني وقوع الحدث والندم عليهneedn’t have + p.p أما-
ضروري أن افعل
لذا يمكن استخدامها في وجود أفعال ناقصه أخري مثل، هي فعل ناقصmust ▪

تفيد المنعmustn’t واضح حيث أنmustn’t and don’t have to ▪ الفرق بين
ومساويتها تعني فقط أنك غير مضطر لفعل شئ معينdon’t have to أما، والتحريم
