The Youth Building a Stable and Sustainable Future

My stay here in Kalinga is quite a challenging task to do for me. Despite the
challenges, I was encouraged by a lot of things. One of them is seeing lots of youth
enjoying going to work rather than going to school. I understand that many were
forced to work at an early age due to financial problems, but the question is “would
you rather work and bear the extreme heat and hardship of life or choose to bear
the challenges of education and work with the profession you deserve.”

As a youth it is important that we must pursue to finish our education. One

thing that pushed me to finish my education is that during the voter’s registration I
saw lots of people not able to fill-out their forms and asking others to fill it out for
them. You see even personal information’s that you should have known you still
can’t do it, why? It is because many of us thinks that education doesn’t play an
important role in our lives. Like what they have said it is us that chooses, that
builds and make our future it is not our parents or other people that will build it for
you it is you yourself.

For me as I saw how the world works my greatest fear is that I will grow
knowing nothing, I don’t want to grow repeating the same life as we were. I want
to dream for a better life, like doing what other people does, shopping the things
they want and buying their family wants without having any problem with it. Well,
who doesn’t want that?

Pursuing your education is a very great thing to do. The best thing that youth
should know is that they will know how to write or read. Don’t you want that you
are contributing in the success of our economy or do you want to be the number
one contributor of poverty in our country? Well, it depends on you if you want to
choose the easier way but goes with nothing or choose the hard way that goes with
everything.

Be the youth that builds a stable and sustainable future!!

Thank you!
