Answer to Q.1

I will suggest that proper formal / official training of old and new employees is very
necessary for a company to grow. New employ must undergo a proper and well defined
training cycle whereas old employees must undergo refresher type training courses on
regular intervals. If employees undergo proper training, only then they would be able to
understand the working environment of the company. Understanding of Mission, Vision
and Core values of any company is very important for the employees because only then
they would appreciate that what is required from them.

Training of employees helps in making the employees more productive. It helps the


companies to gain and retain top talent, high productivity and learning & development
helps the companies in earning more and more profit. It also means that educational
activities within a company are created / planned to enhance the knowledge and skills
of employees while providing necessary guidance and advisories on how to better
perform specific assigned tasks.

Training is also very important because it provides good opportunities to the employees


to enhance their knowledge base and polish their job skills to become more efficient and
effective in the workplaces. Despite the cost of training for employees, the return on
investment is huge if it is a continues process.

So PC hotel must focus on proper training of its employees to make them more efficient,
effective and highly productive though their outstanding performances. PC hotel must
make a training planner (Annual Training Program / Schedule) for each cadre, which
should be followed in true letter and spirit.

Answer to Q.2

Yes. In my point of view Mr. Khan & CEO did enough working to find out the drawback /
shortcoming through critical analysis of the available data. It was very alarming that PC
hotel is offering only 5 to 6 training hours per year and 10 training hours per year for its
existing and new employees respectively whereas other similar hotels were offering
around 40 training hours per year for both types of employees.

All the employees should undergo training of their respective fields
