WRITING TASK 1

The table below shows percentages about the involvement of 11-14 year-olds
by gender in extreme sports in the UK in 2003.
Look at the table, we can see that the average percentage of children playing
rollerblading is the largest. On the other side, snowboarding has the least attraction
to both boys and girls, only 6,1%.
Except for rollerblading, male children took part in the remaining sports were
higher than female did. Their participation in skateboarding was the largest, at
27.5%, and mountain biking was the second largest, at nearly 23% while
snowboarding has the lowest percentage, over 8%.
Rollerblading has the most attraction to the children, average 26.6%, and
among them female accounted for nearly 32%. As well as male, the quantity of 11-
14 year-old female took part in snowboarding is extremely low, almost a half of
boys’ proportion. M m m m m m m m
