5.2 Installation modes
The ISCOM HT803G-WS2 can be installed on a stable workbench or a wall.

Installing the ISCOM HT803G-WS2 on the workbench is

informal because unpredictable events (such as collision or object
falling) may prevent the ISCOM HT803G-WS2 from working
properly or even damage it. We recommend installing it on a wall.

Install the ISCOM HT803G-WS2 on a wall as below:

Step 1 Choose a proper height of installation position so that you can easily
observe LEDs and connect the power supply.

Step 2 Knock two cement nails, with spacing of 155 mm (distance between two
wall-mount holes), into the wall. The diameter of a cement nail should
be smaller than that of the wall-mount hole (8 mm).

Step 3 Align wall-mount holes with knocked cement nails, and hang the device
on nails. The device is hung by the nails on the wall.

Step 4 Check by slightly shaking the device whether it is firmly installed on the
wall.

6 FAQ
Why is POWER LED off?
 Please check whether the ON/OFF button is pressed.
 Please check whether the power adapter is the standard one equipped for the
ISCOM HT803G-WS2.
 Please ensure that the power adapter and the power interface/power outlet
are connected firmly. Alternatively, try to remove the power adapter plug,
and then re-insert it. If necessary, please use the voltmeter to check whether
the output voltage of the power adapter is 12 V.

Why is PON LED off?

 Please check whether the fiber works properly.
 Please check whether the fiber is connected properly.
 Please check whether the fiber connector is clean.
 Please check whether optical attenuation is normal.
 Please check whether the SN or MAC address matches with the OLT.

Why is LOS LED blinking?

 Please check whether the fiber connector is properly inserted into the correct
interface.
 Please check whether the fiber connector is clean.

Why is LAN LED off?

 Please check whether the Ethernet cable meets the standard and whether it is
properly connected.
 Please check whether the Network Interface Card (NIC) LED is lighted up.

13
 Please check whether the NIC is properly working. In a Windows operating
system (taking Windows XP for example), right-click the My Computer
icon, and then choose Manage. Click Device Manager on the left tree
topology to check whether a device with "?" or "!" symbol is displayed
under the Network adapters option. If yes, uninstall the device driver and re-
install the driver. Or you can insert the NIC into another slot. If the problem
is not solved, replace the NIC.
