The voluntary agencies play a vital role in providing the best quality services to the

individual going through significant life events. The services provided by these organisations

are not free of cost but they are non-profit-making. The different organisations supporting the

bereavement are At a loss and The Good Grief Trust. At a loss provides support to

individuals affected by significant life events, through using both online and offline

platforms. There are many voluntary and statutory support agencies all over the UK such as

Child Bereavement UK, Grief encounter, Greif talk, miscarriage association, and the

compassionate friends who not only provide help to the individuals going through major

significant life events but also families and social network (Doering and Eisma 2016).

M1

Individuals generally face difficult situations, pain, and hardships in their life after getting

detached from a certain special person or significant thing, which was memorable and lovable

to them. Such type of individual or people is generally known as Bereavement (Werner-

Seidler et al. 2017). The individual suffers very badly due to the significant events in their life

and as result; it affects the physical well-being of the individual as they find difficulties in

concentrating on their lives.

Physical impact: Individual suffering from trauma due to a significant life event feels pain in

their body, which leads to stretching muscles and snugness with the throbbing pain. The

family member and friends tend to helps the individual by being with them, distracting them,

and involving them in various activities for improving their current situations (Tomini et al.

2016).
Roller-coaster: Individual undergoing significant life events feels emotions inside the mind

which acts like a roller coaster as the emotions become difficult to handle with the changing

situation. The family members, social network, and friends are badly impacted to witness the

present condition of the individual that they stay close to them. (Gouveia et al. 2016).

D1

The impact of significant life events such as the loss of parents or siblings affects the life of

an individual and which in turn affects the families, wider social networks, and friends.

Significant life events such as the loss of parents or siblings affect the life of an individual as

they are traumatised due to that incident. In certain situation, it can be they suffer from

depression and ends to isolate themselves from their peer group. The impact of significant

life events causes the individual physical, emotional and mental effects, which need to be

considered and examined thoroughly. The impacts on the family, social network and friends

are different. It can be seen that the social network such as the nurse taking care of the patient

who died loses her job. The family or the friends of the individual are impacted as they see

the individual suffering badly due to the significant event. The individual needs to share his

or her negative thoughts with a close family member, as it will help in reducing the burden of

pain and the feeling of numbness within oneself (Hudson et al. 2018).

P4

The role of the health care or care assistant is to observe the behaviour of the victim to

understand the problems and fears faced by them after significant events in their life. The

care assistant tends to behave with the individual like a family member by taking care of

them and supporting them emotionally during tough times. It is seen that communication and

interacting with other patients help individuals to overcome the issues of mental health such
as depression and anxiety and share easily their common problems for making them feel

better (Newsom et al. 2019). Meeting with people who are suffering from the same type of

trauma helps in understanding the ways to adapt to the situations and accept their current

situations mentally and physically.

M2

There arise certain barriers to the approach of partnership for individuals and families who

are affected by significant life events. Suppose, a child or teenager loses his or her mother,

which leads to trauma and uncertain changes in the attitude of the individual. It is important

that the family of the individual needs to provide love time and support so that they can share

the negative feeling and deal with emotions (Harrop et al. 2020). The physical, mental, and

social well-being of the individual is distributed badly due to such significant life events.

Sometimes barriers in the partnership between the family and the individual arise due to

certain reasons which are discussed here.

It can be seen that individual faces significant event such as loss of both the parents and are

left alone with no one to take care of them. It causes barriers in partnership as the individual

has no option but to go to foster homes for getting a better life.

The reason for barriers in the partnership is that individuals face negligence as their family

members are busy in their work-life or stay out of countries which causes difficulty in

connecting or supporting each other in hard times. The distance between the individuals and

their family members cause a barrier in partnership during a difficult situation (Lichtenthal

2018).

D2

Some health care organisations use various approaches for promoting coordinated and

effective support for supporting an individual who is affected by certain significant events in
life. Organisation associated with healthcare helps in providing proper care that helps in

faster recovery of the patients suffering from the trauma of significant life events. The

organisation uses various approaches such as communication and interaction for knowing the

desires and needs of the individuals. The social network such as doctors and nurses are

provided with certain training to deal with such type of patients. People associated with social

network helps in supporting the awareness programs related to cancer by conducting a

workshop or online classes on sites. The awareness of the various health care units of

Cancers is provided to the patients suffering from cancer by conducting online programs and

classes to know more about the treatments. The program is of two-three hours according to

their schedule and serves accordingly to manner. It helps in assuring the patients suffering

from cancer that someone is there to take care of them. External support is beneficial for

cancer patients as it helps in improving their lifecycle (Hajcak et al. 2019).

P5

The associations follow the organisational policies to help the individuals in moving

voluntarily by using an official pioneer identification process that provides a guarantee that

the patients who act as bereavement will be taken proper care and assistance (Mihura et al.

2017). The organisational care in a systematic and predefine way which helps in reducing the

different experiences faced by an individual. The practical support that is provided by the

family members helps in providing mental support, which is much important after significant

life events such as the death of parents or spouse, or child. The practical support from the

family members also try to boost up the self-confidence inside the individual
M3

The effectiveness of procedures and policies helps in providing a framework for supporting

the experience of significant life events of individuals. These procedures and policies are

established by the official groups that help in leaving the hard influences that encompass the

patients suffering from the trauma of significant life events. The directions given by the

supportive associations are mentioned below and are considered as the most effective

methodologies.

 Providing care to the individual before the occurrence of life events such as sadness

and bereavement.

 The official pioneers of the various associations conduct the process of identification

and then the procedure of obligation and care is conducted.

 The Medical Certificate of Basis of demise and considerations for setting up various

innovative devices such as radioactive and gadgets are issued

 The various facilities that are provided from the place of death or demise to the areas

where the burial services are executed.

 An organisation needs to maintain a proper secret of the care given to the individuals

who suffer from bereavement or sorrow (Weiskittle and Gramling 2018).

The person who is suffering and is being admitted to the organisation is taken care of by the

health care professional to ensure that all the procedures and policies are followed as

recommended. The age group is not a constraint for the care of bereavement. The policies of

this problem relate to the individual such as the old people are more because they tend to lose

their emotions, physical and mental health. The process of this program is of short duration

and the best treatment is provided to the individuals who act out of bereavement.
D3

The various ways in which health care and support service experts can confirm currency and

agreement with relevant legislation and national policy through ethical practice are:

To modify the policies, the Standards for Bereavement care 2001 law was implemented and

reviewed in 2012. According to this law, the services provided to the individual who acts as

bereavement are safe and secure. The medical conditions of the individuals do not limit the

care and the policy of equality is maintained (Tofthagen et al. 2017).

National Institute for palliative care guidance and clinical excellence (2005) states that the

rate of improvement of bereavement individuals is at 85%. The improvement is effective

when the individuals get the best support and care from health care and social organisation at

the proper time and when needed the most. It is seen that the remaining 10% is defenceless in

nature and demand for more and more care. While the 5% who face significant life events

experience the grief in complex and requires interferences of experts. The criminal bureau

controls and crosschecks all profiles of the caregivers to enhance the efficiency of the

policies. A similar treatment is given to patients of each age group.

P6

The most common reason for anxiousness is the demise of any close person from someone’s

life, which produces anxiousness in teenagers and youth. To get over the problems related to

anxiety the individuals need to consult with the different social systems and associate groups.

The appropriate support should be putting importance on the various specific needs of

individuals dealing with the trauma of significant life events. It can be seen that the family

members take care of such individuals as they cannot distinguish the priority. The appropriate

support group provides steady care and support during the time of such incidence to cope up

with the bad feelings and loss of a vital part of life (Ungar and Theron 2020).
P7

The referral process to support an individual and their social networks affected by significant

life events is by referring to voluntary support agencies or statuary support agencies. The care

services provide various types of therapy sessions such as yoga, meditation, music therapy

which help in the enlightenment of the individual and deal with depression and anxiety. It is

important to provide therapy sessions as it helps in calming the mind of the individuals and

providing the right direction to move on from the trauma. The care services also engage the

individual with certain sports activities, personal assessment, and fun activities to improve

their current situation.

M4

The period of transition from teenage to youth is the most difficult time as people faces new

problems in their life. There comes a situation where the future decision of life needs to be

taken solely according to the current situation. I think every person suffers from different

kinds of diseases until the journey of old age which makes life difficult to live. I have seen in

many cases that the power of controlling emotions is more in youth as they find difficulties in

controlling them (Foster et al. 2019). The youth joins the various associate groups as it helps

in controlling their emotions and sentiments by providing sufficient care and support. The

associate group helps in relocating the matters that creates anxiety among the youths and

tough situations in their life. The troubles faced by the youths are frightening, socially

abandoned, and issues that they faced during their childhood at home or school, which result

in trauma or anxiety.

D3

The health care services in my locality respond effectively to social networks and individuals

who are affected by significant life events. The care services integrate with different groups
and associations to enhance the nature of care and decrease unnecessary expenditure. The

care services plan the different types of care to be provided to individuals going through

different types of trauma. The care services aim at updating the quality of services of their

employees by providing them the best opportunities and motivate them to develop the various

qualitative operations. The care services try to support and motivate the individual going

through trauma by conducting workshops, which help in overcoming the current situation of

the individuals (Li et al. 2019). They are kept with individual who has suffered from the

different traumatised situation as it helps to share the pain. Meeting with people who are

suffering from the same type of trauma helps in understanding the ways to adapt to the

situations and accept their current situations mentally and physically (Assari 2018).
