Week 1 (PRELIMS)

Orientation to the Class


Asynchronous session (1 hour)

Instructions (to be posted in the BB folder for week 1):

 Students will be instructed by the course instructor to read the syllabus for the
course containing the learning plan, requirements, grading system and house
rules.
 Students should also be notified that they can ask questions through the discussion
board prepared by their instructor in the said folder. Thus, the instructor is bound
to answer via real time the questions of the students regarding the syllabus.
 Students must also be instructed to answer the informed consent for the course via
Google forms. Student’s submission of the said consent will serve as their
attendance for the day.
 Lastly students must also be instructed on how the next session will take place via
Google meet.

Synchronous session (1-hour interactive discussion with students via Google meet)

Instructions (to be posted in the BB folder for week 1):

 The instructor must post in this Blackboard folder the link for their Google meet
at the same time invite the students through their official AdU Gmail account (if
needed). This session will serve as the instructor’s time with his/her students to
introduce him/herself and for the students to do the same. To maximize the time
students can introduce themselves with their name and course. If time permits
the instructor can also facilitate a group sharing or “kamustahan”.

Asynchronous session (1 hour)

Instructions (to be posted in the BB folder for week 1):

 The instructor will assign this particular time for practice using the Blackboard
platform for the course. In particular with the submission of the assignment and
answering of assessment. First the instructor will let them view this YouTube
instructional video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVh8wz4RamA)
posted in this folder about this topic.
 The instructor must make a practice assignment/assessment to be
submitted/answered by the student and will serve as his/her attendance for the
session.
