The client is a leading property and casualty (P&C) speciality insurance company in
California, USA with specialized business in workers’ compensation
Background
Client was in process of transitioning its policy administration system from a legacy
platform to Guide wire Policy Center and was looking for Quality Assurance (QA) support
with focus on strategic IT transformation.
Business Objectives
The client wanted to achieve the following:
• Fixed price model for testing
• Complete ownership of QA team
• Business analysis, manual/automation platform
• Driving automation independently leveraging HCL’s QEx Automation testing framework
• Embracing an agile methodology for GW PC 8.0 implementation testing
HCL Solution
Streamlining testing requisites HCL offered the following solutions to the client:
• Implementing HCL’s QEx Automation framework for testing
• Integration testing of inbound/outbound data to and from Policy Center to the other
systems, viz, Claim Center, HP—Extreme, Data warehouse
• End-to-End testing of policy scenarios for all states
• HP ALM shall be single automation repository to store test scripts and test execution
results
