at Smart Factory IISc

The Centre for Product Design & Manufacturing (CPDM), *Indian

Institute of Science (IISc) initiated India’s first Smart Factory R&D
Platform in 2014. It is now expanded into a Central Engineering
Facility Centre (CEFC) for Industry 4.0 under the Samarth Udyog
Bharat 4.0 Programme of Dept of Heavy Industries (DHI), Govt of
India. It has a demonstration platform for smart factory showcasing
‘state of the art’ technologies, to be used for R&D, and supporting
innovation, start-ups and training programmes.

Robotics, Digital Twins, IoT, AR/VR, etc.
