METHODOLOGY

Materials

The materials that the researchers used were 20W solar panel board, 7AH battery, 30AH

controller, 1000W inverter, 1m wire, mec4 connector, universal outlet, , air conditioner electrical

outlet, 33 by 11 inches of plywood, screws, Lineman’s plier,

Methods

All the materials were prepared for making the product. First, the plywood was cut into

the dimension of 5 by 11 inches, 4 by 11 inches, and 4 by 8.5 inches. Those dimensions were

provided two pieces each to make a rectangular prism as the housing of the improvised solar-

powered extension wire board. Lineman's plier was used to splice or cut electrical wires into 3-5

inches long. Next, one of the bases of the housing was drilled enough to accommodate the plug

points. Wires were then connected to the plug points in a parallel circuit. After that, the solar

panel was mounted and was attached to the other side of the base by screwing it onto the

plywood. The 7AH battery cable was connected to the charge controller. Next, the charge

controller was evaluated by the researchers. Then, controllers were wired to the panel by the

mec4 connector. The inverter was connected to the solar panel to run or charge a device in AC

(Alternating Current). The product is finished and can now be used.
