Topic 1: Ideal teacher (Opinion)
“A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and
instill a love of learning”, said Brad Henry. An ideal teacher is
someone who knows to ignite the curiosity of students and keeps it
aflame, inspires them to seek an answer themself, and always
encourages them to question. Besides, a teacher's creativity plays a
vital role in establishing ideality in his or her teaching methods. A
creative teacher would always try different ways of instructional
strategies to provide useful pieces of information for their students.
Furthermore, an ideal teacher never lets the limitations of his or her
students restrict their vision. He or she constantly motivates them
to reach ahead, broaden their horizon, and helps them realize their
talents as well as the need to pursue them with diligence. To
conclude, if the teacher succeeds in doing this then the students
will consider him or her an ideal teacher.
Topic 2: A memorable trip you took (Descriptive)
Last summer holiday, I had a trip with my family to Da Nang City.
That a good trip. I had a long time to relax. The trip started with an
incredible view from the plane window and I can still remember
being quite overwhelmed by the beauty of my city from above and
the amazing sunsets. Our stay in Da Nang lasted for 1 week. We
had a lot of great experiences here, such as skydiving, trying some
adventure games at Vinpearl park, visiting many places, and well-
known places, seeing a lot of spectacular scenery. I took many
pictures with the lanterns, the old corners at Hoi An and enjoyed
some of the very delicious food. It can be said that this is a trip full
of memories of us. We will definitely go there again if we have a
chance.
Topic 3: Should students have to take an entrance exam to
enter a college or university? Why or why not? (Opinion)
I believe that students should have to take an entrance exam due to
the following reasons. Firstly, the entrance examination to classify
the levels of students. When the students enter the same majority,
it will be easier for them to study and improve because they all
have the same basic knowledge. Thus, those students who have the
dream jobs will make a great effort to enter the colleges or
universities they would love to. Secondly, it will save a lot of
money for the government as well as the student's families. The
students who get the standard scores can go to universities with
low tuition fees. And lastly, the entrance examination is regarded
as the first challenge for the students who desire to go to the top of
universities and also creates fairness for them. The students need to
be matured enough, study hard, and try their best to prepare for the
exam. To conclude, students should have to take an entrance exam
to enter a college or university is a necessary thing. 
Topic 4: Something that makes you happy, sad, nervous, or
afraid (Descriptive)
It's a terrible day when I was a freshman in the university.
Actually, I overslept on the day that I had to take the first test. I
was so busy with my study as the final exams were coming. I had
been cramming for the exams for weeks before the test date.
Therefore, the night before my test, I was so tired that I forgot to
set my alarm clock, and the next morning I overslept as a result.
When I got up, I was sweating and felt so scared. The matter
worse, I wasn’t allowed to come into the test hall by the examiner
because I was 15 minutes late. At that time, I suffered from a
mental breakdown. Fortunately, after a few days, I received an
announcement from the Training Department that I could take the
test on a day at the end of that month. I was really excited.
Although it is quite hard at that time, that memory is one of the
most unforgettable periods of time in my student life.
