Prelude
 As human being all of us want happiness & success and keep
chasing both throughout our lives. However, only 4-5 per cent of
people in the entire world end up becoming successful and from
among them less than 1 per cent become successful and happy.
 What is the secret power that propels these people to the top of the
pyramid? What makes them who they are?
 Author Megha Bajaj set out on a journey and visited different parts
of the country and discovered 11 such individuals who were truly
happy and successful. She realized that in a country of 1.3 billion
people these individuals had one thing in common—they had the
rare ability to turn an ordinary event into a significant one and then
turn that into a ‘breakthrough’.
 They seize the moment when there is nothing perceptible to seize;
they look at the present and create a future; they realize that the
Supreme Power is always there, only if one believes unfailingly,
surrenders completely and works tirelessly.
Prelude
 Even during the worst possible time the world has ever seen, the book will
put you on the path to many wonderful things and a life full of contentment.

11. To keep learning.
Life Through the Lens of Adventure
 The Breakthrough has cast its spell for Nitin
Nyati, one among the most renowned builders of
Pune.
 Some people do bungee jumping in the name of
adventure.
 Others choose deep sea diving. Some go hunting
for Northern lights, others go trekking upon Mount
Everest. Nitin?
 He does all of these, but he does something even
more adventurous. He lives. Yes, you read it right.
 Nitin’s life itself has been nothing short of an
adventure and as I closed my eyes, calmed my
pumping heart, and nose-dived along with him into
the exploration of five decades of craziness, I
found myself dissolved. Drenched. When I re- Chairman & MD of Nyati
surfaced, gasping for breath, I realized everything Group
suddenly looked new. The sun seemed brighter.
The water bluer. The skies, deeper. Invite you to
go through what I did… a journey that has the
power to change life as you know it
Life Through the Lens of Adventure- Take away
 Find excitement even in the ordinary , to find joy even in scarcity , to
look for brighter hues even in the grey life.
 Irrespective of what goes right or wrong , keep moving. Keep moving-
for the human, potential is limitless & only when you keep moving will
you be able to know that is life is constantly preparing you for more.
 The Question- When was the last time you did for the first time.
 Every human being is a Co-creators of his or her own destiny.
 It is important to keep pushing the limits & to keep imagining beyond.
 The adventure made Nitin realize that life came with polarities , the
sunrises & the sunsets , the highs & lows and the seeker had to go
through the each experience for what it is worth.
 All Struggles in life happen because of desperation of results . Drop the
desperation & there is peace.
 There is always a better way – find it
 Get out of your comfort zone & expand your life
 What sets apart the good from the great , the extraordinary from the rest
, is the eye for details
 The answer to your troubles lies within you.
Co-Creating with the Creator
 The Breakthrough has played a very special role
in the life of Dr Asha Vijay.
 It revealed eleven secrets of life to her, unearthed,
one at a time, at just the right time when something
within her was ready to learn it.
 These best kept secrets helped Asha to make
sense of what was happening and gave a direction
to what was coming.
 They shaped her life to make it all that it is today.
Her story is to be sipped at, like a tall glass of
cranberry iced tea on a warm afternoon. Savor
each moment – for you never know, when her
secret becomes yours. When her realization,
becomes yours.
 And a change in perspective is all it takes to
change life as we know it, right? A slight shift in the Medical Director and
way we think and the way the Universe responds, Founder of Garbha Gudi
is nothing short of a miracle. Are you ready for the IVF Center
shift?
Co-Creating with the Creator- Take away
 Gratitude is the mother of all virtues . Don’t ask, “ why me ?” for all
your troubles. Rather ask “ Why me” for all your blessings ?
 Even if everybody believes in you, but you do not believe in
yourself, then even God cannot help you. Even if no one believes in
you, but you believe in yourself, the God will propel you.
 It does not matter what you have. What matters is what you do with
what you have.
 One cannot rely on past glory. Yesterday’s achievement are a thing
in the past. Get into gear once again, today is a new day. A new
race. Start over .
 If love cannot , nothing else can. What is not possible with love, is
not possible any other way. Love is the ultimate Gospel.
 "As she looked back at the decade gone by, she smiled. So much
had gone wrong. Or so it appeared. Bit by bit, it had all corrected
itself. So much had gone right. All in all, it had been a period of
intense creation.
Co-Creating with the Creator- Take away
 If love cannot, nothing else can . What is possible with love , is not
possible any other way. Love is the ultimate gospel.
 If you do what everyone is doing, you reach where everyone is
reaching. Excellence is a benchmark you set to yourself. And the
reward of the excellence is many fold. Either do something with
every breath in you or don’t do it. Nothing in between is acceptable.
 The Creator , created human beings to Create. It is in creating, that
we feel closest to the Divine.
 Life is but a play of sunshine & shadows. Sometimes day,
sometime night. Do not get too blinded by the light or depressed by
the darkness. Just stay with the purpose of your life and walk a day
at a time.
 Abundance is every human beings birth right. Everyone deserve
Most and More in every dimension. Each human being has to
believe that they deserve abundance.
 In the life of every seeker , there comes a day when their past looks
like the past of someone else.
Life is Rewarding & Taxing
 The Breakthrough had a strange effect on this
well-known and well-loved Chartered
Accountant called Guru Prasad Makam.
 He also happens to be the founding partner of
Guru & Jana accountancy firm which is on its
way to becoming the top 20 firms in all of India.
 When we go through his story, we feel that we
are not sitting on a desk, making our notes.
 Rather, we feel we are sitting in a multiplex,
watching a movie play before us. Mind you, not
just any old movie – a blockbuster! Probably
with Thalaiva acting in it.
 Can a life be this cinematic, can transformation
be this dramatic? We can find the answers as
we go through this man’s journey who knows
every tax law by heart.

The Man who sees tomorrow-Take away
The Man to watch out for.
 By going through his life journey , I have
been intrigued about Sandeep Agarwal.
 One, because whenever people I have
observed him in a group, he doesn’t speak
much about himself. Rather, he allows his
work to speak for him.
 It is important to know where he had come
from, and where is he going?
 Two, there is this inexplicable stillness that
he carries that appealed to me.
 What had made Ratnadeep Supermarket
into the gigantic brand that it was in
Hyderabad, and now a growing name in
Bengaluru too? With 68 stores, 3500
employees and so much buzz around him,
 It is worth meeting Sandeep and getting to
know the inner workings of this man.
The Man who sees Tomorrow- Take away
 If you want best out of life , you need to give your best to it.

 Relationships come above everything in life

 Fear & faith cannot coexist .

 There have been many instances in business and otherwise where there was a
choice to make between a relationship that matters and an opportunity, between
a relationship and money, between a relationship and fame - and each time,
every time.

 I have opted for the relationship. It is so easy to get swept away but I believe we
have reached where we have because I have stayed true, sincere and
unconditional to every relationship that I have stepped into.

 Even when the other has done something which I perceived as wrong; it didn't
change me. I must stay true to myself and I prided myself on having done so.“

 There should be an abundance of everything in life –Health, Wealth, Love , Bliss

& all these can be achieved through Spiritual Alignment.

 IIMs, the premier institutes of management in India, have
always fascinated every one. And to know a young boy
from a little town called Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan – possibly
a place where even the word IIM was not that popular in
nineties – got a call from four of the IIMs is definitely
intriguing.
 To know of someone who chose right over easy at various
junctures of his life and today is living his dream of being a
social entrepreneur is what makes this story what it is.
 Would you be able to say no to a crores of rupees, to
follow that soft, strange whisper in your heart?

The Songs of Life
 Innocence and depth are a rare, and heady mix. Much like
a fireplace on a cold wintry night. Or, warm buttered waffles
with a dollop of ice-cream. The dark brown eyes smile. And
become moist. As we speak.
 They twinkle. And they reflect intensity. I often find myself
slipping into a meditative state as I hear him speaking. And
he keeps checking, “Megha, are you awake?”
 There was so much Silence in his words. So much peace in
his presence. Someone who seems so unruffled by the
going on of life, and yet so involved in everything that is.
 Arun Kumar Natha dreamt of becoming an auto rickshaw
driver. Life, however, had different plans for him. He found
himself going through a series of experiences to reach the
pinnacle of his career– Finance Director of none other than
the very best: Amazon. And then he quit, taking a plunge
into the unknown into what is turning out to be the most
defining decision of his life. He is a man of numbers. And ARUN KUMAR NATHA
yet, I cannot help but share his story through songs – Founder and Pacemaker,
eleven, that defined his life at each stage. I cannot put my inPace Solutions
finger on it, but there is something very poetic about this
Chartered Accountant whose vision is to create financially
strong and sustainable Enterprises, Professionals, Students
and Home-makers. With a hum in their heart.
The Songs of Life –Take Away
 "Between family members no money lending should be encouraged. If
someone comes to Arun even now for money, he happily gives it as a gift
but absolutely refuses lending. When his mother goes out with her friends
for movies, even now, they split it down to the penny. As a gift, give me
what you want and I will give you what I feel like, but otherwise, let's never
let money come between our relationship. Simple truth. Unconditional
execution. Profound impact."
 "A good professional was one who could understand the needs of the
person before him and speak in a way that would be understood."
 "Imagine your mind to be a blank screen and your thoughts as projectors.
Now when we have several projectors on, the screen is unable to show
anything properly. Meditation shuts off the multiple projectors and keeps
only one on. So you can focus. There is clarity. The highest science
available to human is spirituality or Inner Excellence- and that is what you
will discover .
 "At least once in your life, you should experience working under a very
tough boss. This teaches you to bring your best to the fore, and makes the
rest of the experiences appear so much easier.“
The Songs of Life- Take away
 "So often Prathima and he would be caught simply exchanging smiles. The
smiles that only a husband and wife exchanged when they see their co-
creation do something so simple, and yet to their eyes it appears so
unbelievably beautiful."
 "If I put myself in his shoes, would what I said interest and excite me? What
would motivate me? What would empower me to give my best? Keeping in
mind how he would respond, he framed his methodology for the other."
 "How do you view transitions and how do you cope with challenges? If you are
willing to take both in your stride, there is a high possibility that you will explore
your potential in unimaginable ways."
 "You need to always work like you are two steps up in the hierarchy. This
pushes you to think like your boss's boss and helps in expanding your scope
of growth significantly."
 "Both Guru and God are before me, whose feet should I touch? Let me
prostrate before my Guru, as but for him, I wouldn't be able to know my God at
all."
 "To be at the top of your game your peak and take a plunge into the
unknown is something very few have the courage to do. But then, dreams can
only be found at the far end of the sea.

What Next Man
 The Breakthrough has played an integral role in
the life of Sushiil Mehta, founder of Jains Car
Shoppe.
 It came to him in the form of eleven qualities –
which he either inherited from someone or
developed within himself. At times, it so happened
that the attribute already existed and a situation in
life, or a person, brought it to the fore.
 These traits began to shape his life and took it
from one of absolute mediocrity, to one worth
sitting up and learning from. It was exciting to
know them, through the story of his life and I
believe if we could strive to cultivate these into

Life is a Series of Decisions
 Sometimes, the simplest of stories are most
powerful. Such is the story of Mukesh Jain.
 It does not have drastic twists and turns or dark
alleys and sunlit corridors – but it does have
something very special.
 Eleven decisions. That changed the life of a man.
That changed the destiny of a family. And is
creating a brand that is the undisputed leader
among its peers. When faced with certain
situations in life, we wonder – whether to go left,
or right? Choose this or that? And the answer can
transform life as we know it.
 Here is a beautiful story of a man who chose
right, over easy; who chose discipline, over
lethargy – who chose abundance, over the MUKESH JAIN
scarcity patterns of a lower middle class family. Managing Director,
Meghdoot Textiles Pvt. Ltd.
The results? Surprisingly phenomenal. In his
story, you will find traces of your life. Your every
day. You. Let’s explore…

 "Papa, my destiny is what it is. I am sure something good will come
forth from this. However, you will not make any of the younger ones
leave their studies. They have dreams for themselves and I will
manage everything - but let them study. I will not allow my
deprivation to become anyone else's deprivation."
 "Even as a family, Mukesh saw that they were all together only in
front of the idiot box (TV). Else, they didn't really have much to say
to each other. How would relationships deepen and become more
meaningful unless this unnecessary distraction was removed from
their life?"
 "While the world outside would praise you, celebrate you, family
was often an ego shattering space, where you would be shown the
mirror time and again."
 "People follow followers. This essentially meant, when someone
among them starts showing a lot of desirable traits, everyone else
starts walking the same path."

 Blue the skies, Green the fields,
Bare-bodied the boys, In the blue-green seas.
 Growing up in a small village called
Papparapatti, about three hours away from
Bengaluru was a little boy called Praburam.
 He hailed from a family of teachers and from his
grandfather to his grandmother, uncle, father…
everyone was into education.
 One shudders to imagine a home filled with
more teachers than students – but for Prabu, it
didn’t really matter as from a very young age, he
had a mind of his own.
 Like any other little boy growing up in the 70s in
rural India, his life had its own fill of skies,
swimming in ponds, green fields, marbles,
running around with a tyre and playing with
sticks and stones.
G. Prabhuram  However, unlike many others, Prabu was a
Managing Partner –Alubee thinker, a visionary, someone who could see way
Die casters beyond the day to day trajectory of ordinary life.
 "When we see a successful company, we see the result, the
effect. However, we do not know what led to this exponential
growth. Where lies the cause? It begins in these little thought
processes."

 "When you keep giving your best - somehow, a point comes when
the universe begins to recognize this and rewards you with
abundance you never expected."

 "It's so true that we cannot change the world, and yet, as we begin
to change ourselves, somehow, the world does transform."

sell for you; and in a brand, customers sell for you."

Beautifully narrated emotional incidents, so much so,
that you can literally feel those emotions behind those

are holding the other hand of the little one with your

 We need introverted dynamism to reach the higher plane of

 Let us look back with contentment and look ahead with ambition.
