Objectives define strategies or implementation steps to attain the identified goals. Unlike
goals, objectives are specific, measurable, and have a defined completion date.

Learning theory:
Describes how students receive, process, and retain knowledge during learning. Cognitive,
emotional, and environmental influences, as well as prior experience, all play a part in how
understanding, or a world view, is acquired or changed and knowledge and skills retained.

Assimilation refers to the process of taking new information and fitting it into an existing
schema.

Accommodation refers to using newly acquired information to revise and redevelop an


existing schema
