Isabel : Hii. Good afternoon, Anne. Can i have a short interview with you right now?

Anne : Oh hello, Isabel. Sure.

Isabel: First question: as a young lady and a student, what is your opinion about feminism?

Anne : I suppose everybody should be aware of it. Not only it applies to girls like me, but also to our
male counterparts as well. It's gender equality, after all.

Isabel : How do you feel about many influential people standing up for these issues nowadays?

Anne : It's very good to know, to be honest. Because of celebrities standing up for it, people are getting
more aware of this advocacy against inequality.

Isabel : Speaking of famous people, however, there are many sexist headlines strewn all over celebrity
papers worldwide. What could you say about this?

Anne : This constant dissemination of bigotry has to stop, especially when the media itself plays a big
role on worsening the situation. Who dated this or that, pitting women against each other, stupid
articles objectifying a famous someone's body... That's what those stuff are filled, right?

By eliminating double standards on looks and breaking gender roles, we're closer to solving inequality
once and for all.

Isabel : You have just mentioned double standards. Do you mind telling a personal experience you have
faced regarding the issue?

Anne : Hmm okay. I think it is when every time people reminds me to refrain from wearing shorts or
skirts because that's not the proper way of how a young lady should dress. And their belief that too
much skin might make boys uncomfortable. As if i'm entitled for their unease just bc of my preference of
clothing.

Isabel : Mmhm. That's right. Last question: What can tell the people who have the same struggles about
it?

Anne : I believe that we should feel good about ourselves, without the double standards imposed by the
society. Fat is beautiful. Skinny is beautiful. Brown, black or fair-skinned is beautiful. Women can wear
shorts without being labeled as a slut.

Even boys can openly show their emotional side without being considered as weak. You matter, do not
let anybody tell you otherwise.

Isabel: That's a very wonderful insight. Thank you so much for sparing your 3 minutes with me.

Anne : Your welcome.
