DEFINING FAMILY

Carry out a survey: ask a minimum of 20 people (any people preferably from diverse backgrounds)
to:

Define family in their own words

1. Who they would include as a member of their family and why

Carry out a survey and research: ask UNILU students and research various family law literature to
ascertain who is recognised to fall under ‘family’ under our laws in Zambia (how is family defined
under Zambian laws). Provide references. Contrast with the western world defines family.

Having carried out the above surveys, what are your conclusions?

on the subject of jurisdiction?
