Yesterday I came across an opinion where the writer said due to some emergency
situations around the country, The COAS of Pakistan should be given an extension of
3 years. And PTI led by Imran Khan who is enjoying the government are doing
everything possible to persuade the opposition in the passing the bill in the
parliament. The Current COAS Gen. Bajwa has climbed seven ranks to attain the seat.
But when we go through the history of Pakistan all the COASs who does so were
proved danger to the democracy of Pakistan. With the like of Ayub Khan, Yayha
Khan, Zia ul Haq and Pervaiz Musharraf. All of them imposed Martial Law on the
country and looted it. Many of us didn’t know that the country is never facing a
threat until the Army wishes to do so. Due to Ayub Khan and Yahya Khan, Bangladesh
is no more on our side. Due to Zia, Bhutto was massacred, and we all are aware of
Musharraf. So what is the point to do so, are u facilitating Army again with the
supreme power of the country…
