Q.1 Rahul keeps some of the soaked beans in air tight container and some in sieved
basket. Why beans did not grow in air tight container ?
Ans .The beans did not grew in the air tight container because they did not got oxygen which
is required for germination.
Q.2. Why chips packets are filled with nitrogen gas ?
Ans Chips packets are filled with nitrogen gas to keep the chips fresh .
Q.3. Why crop production decreases near factories ?
Ans. The air pollution is very high near the factories which reduces the fertility of soil and
hence decreases crop production .
Q.4. All living organisms use oxygen for respiration even though the oxygen gas does
not get over exhausted. Why ?
Ans. Living organisms breathe oxygen and release carbon di oxide . This carbon di oxide is
used by plants to carry photosynthesis and they release oxygen . Thus the balance of oxygen
and carbon di oxide is maintained in the nature .
Q.5. In winters , water droplets accumulate on the glasses of the cars and windows ?
Why ?
Ans This is due to the condensation of water vapours present in the atmosphere
Q. 6. How can we make people aware that bursting of crackers is not good for them .
Ans . To make people aware of this fact , we can-
i) Make posters and put them in society
ii) Campaigning can be done.
