Good posture is the correct way by which you hold your body when doing activities.

It is important because it improves muscles and joint function, prevents backache and body pains
and it is also for good health.

We can achieve it if we do conditioning and flexibility exercises when we do things such as in


standing, walking, running and sitting.

For example, am I in good posture now? No. In standing, we should stand with your feet flat on the
floor.
Head up and chin in. Look straight ahead.
Your back should be straight.
Relax the muscles of the stomach and your shoulders.
Place arms on the side.
Keep your chest forward.

In sitting, keep your back straight.


Always keep your feet flat on the floor.
Keep your head straight and do not tilt it up or down.
Keep your shoulders back and try to relax.
Do not cross your legs.

If we do not do proper posture properly, we will have backaches or slouch backs.
