APPROVAL OF THE PeGIF ‘The attached PeGIF version 1.0 is hereby approved for implementation by government agencies to define the common knowledge, principles, and standards that national government agencies shall use in the design of data and information systems to enable data exchange and reuse across agencies. SECTION 2. COVERAGE OF THE PeGIF The use of the PeGIF is mandatory for the Executive branch of government, including National Government Agencies (NGAs), Bureaus and Offices, Government-Owned and -Controlled Corporations (GOCCs), Government Financial Institutions (GFls), and State Universities and Colleges (SUCs). The Legislature, Judiciary, Constitutional Bodies, and Local Government Units (LGUs) are encouraged to use and implement the PeGIF. The PeGIF may also be used by non-government organizations, the academe, and the private ‘sector for interoperability with the systems used by the government. SECTION 3. ADMINISTRATION OF THE PeGIF The administration and updating of the PeGIF shall be the responsibility of the Policies and Standards Development Division of the ICT Office. The ICT Office shall develop tools to monitor the PeGIF implementation. The ICT Office, with the assistance of technical experts, shall issue a yearly Evaluation Report of the PeGIF Implementation.
