cyberbullying:

This can be seen in the case of Ain Husniza, a student who did an exposé on TikTok about
how a physical education teacher casually made a joke about rape in his class (Tong, 2021). The
video went viral and spread like wildfire. However, some netizens, including students and teachers,
were quick to send harsh comments towards her, making lewd remarks on her physical appearances
as well as delivering rape threats. This was all done because they thought the student was just
seeking for attentions with the intention to deface the name of her school. They believe that instead
of blowing the issue out of proportion, the student should have just settled it discretely within the
school. They also believe that her actions apparently warrant for cyberbullying, which is somewhat
unfortunate for Ain as she was only trying to defend her right to not be harassed.
