Significance of the Study

The Resorts in Pansol Laguna is the primary source of income in the area that’s why it is

important to assess the level of the financial management of the resorts to identify rooms for

improvement and enhance the profitability. Ultimately, increased profitability will provide more

opportunities for locals and revenue generation of Municipality that will be further beneficial for

locals.

The result of this study will benefit the following:

Existing Public Resorts. The outcome of the study will help resort owners to improve their

businesses by being aware of effective financial management techniques management leading to

reduced costs and larger profits.

Future Resorts to be established. This study may serve as a guideline to people who are

interested in establishing their resort in the future. The output can serve as basis on how to have

effective financial management and be profitable.

Future Investors. Furthermore, if sound financial management will be a standard practice among

resort owners in Pansol, profits for the resort business will go up and this trend could attract

potential investors - either they will construct their own resort or partner with existing owners.

Future Researchers. The results of this study could also provide useful insights that can be the

basis of future researches aimed at assessing the financial management efficiency of various

businesses in the Philippines and the influencing factors. Furthermore, similar future researches

could lead to the formulation of a standard practice in financial management to enhance
