    SSM 49034 - 2016-2020 Various Vehicles Equipped With SYNC 3 – Various SYNC

    Performance Related Concerns


    Some 2016-2020 Ford vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 may exhibit various performance related
    concerns such as but not limited to, display operation, DAB station screen flicker, screen freeze,
    a solid blue screen when moving forwards at speedsabove 15 km/h, rear view camera remains on
    at speeds below 15 km/h and a popup to update system over WIFI. To resolve the above
    concern(s) check for a SYNC software update under the OASIS Tab, SYNC. If an update is
    available, update the APIM software as per WSM Section 415-00. Follow the onscreen
    instructions providedby the programming process. To verify success after programming, turn the
    key OFF with the door open for 5 minutes. If no updates are available, refer to WSM Section
    415-00 for diagnosis. Please use causal part 14G371 and labor operation number 12652A from
    the SLTS manual and refer this SSM when completing a claim. Refer SSM: 49034.
